Nest Style Zanzibar

On paper and in pictures, everything looks like it could be ok at this resort, however, the reality is much different. The hotel is dirty, shabby, lacking in atmosphere and has inadequate facilities for the number of rooms (not enough space at the pool or private beach). The food is awful. A/c units are poorly serviced and smell due to lack of maintenance. Some rooms have termites. We were due to stay 5 nights but checked out after 1. Give it a miss.

Absolutely beautifull but otherwise the worst experience ever. Normale we do write reviews but in this case we would like to inform other travellers. Most, not all of the Staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. My wife was urged , although sick in bed, to make both rooms vacant after two nights (while fam. On snorkelling trip) during 5 nights stay. Unannounced and no asking politely but ordering to pack for five within the hour. Electricity issue in one of the rooms was sorted only by turning AC off, after reporting various times it was still not working with AC set below 26deg, we were promised it to be solved, but no one ever showed. So we had to find solution in leaving AC at 26 with minimum fan. At breakfast, every day shortage of coffee/ tea cups. Asking staff for cups, they tell you yes and disappear. Towels in room where removed but not replaced, took 2 walks to the reception to finally have some showering towels Asked for the manager but he ignored us. The place is as beautiful as in the pictures, no doubt, but is just very poorly managed.

Was really good and great service and very quiet and respectful to everyone. But … suddenly the big family came to celebrate maybe around 20 people and was feeling like we were in someone’s party who rented all hotel . Probably they were family of the owner or manager but it was very disrespectful to other visitors 😡 they were very loud and annoying ( not kids ) and they ate on the swimming pool just in the water . The party was till 1 am and it was terrible … unfortunately the end of vacation was not peaceful and relaxing

Wonderful boutique hotel. Beautiful beach, very tasty food and smiling hotel staff. On-site gym (it's a bit old, but it's there) and two swimming pools. Large selection of drinks and a la carte dinner. Open buffet breakfasts and dinners. Rooms cleaned daily. In the evenings, just before dinner, an interesting tradition of getting to know each other with local juices and alcohol.

This is our best place to stay in Zanzibar so far.We rented a car and stayed in 7 hotels around the island and we fell in love with this cute and well run hotel,especially when know how hard is run all the logistics here in Tanzania. But managers and all the smilling staff did our stay unforgettable. Hotel itself is not as big as resorts in other countries,but has a family atmosphere and personal touch.Rooms are so cute as well as gardens and reception area.Food is very good,especially a pa carte menu food ,which is included in all inclusive option,as well if you are not on all inclusive,a la carte prices are more than reasonable. Try dhow boat cruise which is another original plus and walk on the beach when low tide,where there you will find beautiful small banks. So,the conclusion is that for sure we are going to stay in this hotel next time when we come back to this beatiful island,can’t forget the quality of the service and entertainment personal,cute rooms and property.
