Brand new hotel, great beach area. Based on our thorough research, this hotel exceeded our expectations for quality and value. Our Category Ratings (1–10): * Location: 10 (sunset, super nice beach, easily walkable beach) * Room: 10 (brand new, nice design, free minibar) * Food: 10 (great variety, delicious, classic Riu-style buffet :-)) * Pool: 10 * Gym: 8 * Service & Staff: 10 (special thanks to Caroline and Dhahira) We stayed here for 5 nights and loved walking on the beach. We had to get used to the frequent "Jambo" greetings and the Maasai boys wanting to sell us things :-), but the property is super clean and the staff is overall great.

Dhahira is one of the waitresses at Riu Swahili, and she is truly amazing. She is always kind, friendly, and welcoming. From the moment you arrive, she makes sure you are well taken care of and always has a smile on her face. Her excellent service, positive attitude, and attention to detail make every meal even more enjoyable. Dhaira goes above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable and special. She is a great asset to the hotel, and we are very grateful for her outstanding hospitality🫶

I had a wonderful experience with Witness, who works as a waitress at the bar. She was professional, friendly, and attentive throughout my visit.
