Our stay at Tulia Zanzibar Unique Beach Resort was the perfect way to unwind and conclude a truly special family trip. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was serene, private, and effortlessly luxurious. The resort itself is beautifully designed, with lush tropical surroundings and direct access to a pristine beach. Every space feels thoughtfully curated, offering both comfort and a sense of exclusivity. It’s the kind of place where you can completely relax while still enjoying a high level of personalized service. What truly made our stay exceptional, however, was the outstanding team. Michelle, the manager, leads with warmth and professionalism, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and well cared for. Her presence is felt in the smooth, attentive service throughout the resort. The dining experience was a highlight of our stay. The Le Petit Chef dinner was truly out of this world—creative, immersive, and unlike anything we’ve experienced before. Head Chef Mgeni Mzima was outstanding and catered to our every request, going above and beyond to personalize meals for our group. This level of care made every dining experience feel special. A special thank you to the restaurant team—Zamda, Ezra, Simon, Lamadhan, Haluna, Amiliana, Lucas, Enoch, Joseph Vinton, and Joseph—who consistently delivered attentive and friendly service. Every meal felt relaxed yet refined, with great attention to detail. The broader team, including Emanuel, Adhil, Abdullah, and Steven, ensured everything ran seamlessly across the property. Their professionalism and willingness to assist with anything we needed made a real difference. At the bar, Guston and Sriman created a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere, crafting excellent drinks and adding to the overall experience with their friendly personalities. We would also like to recognize our driver, Abu Bhakar, who took excellent care of us throughout our time in Zanzibar. He was reliable, professional, and always made our transfers smooth and stress-free, which added greatly to the overall experience. Tulia Zanzibar offers a wonderful balance of tranquility, personalized service, and unique experiences. It was the ideal setting to relax, reflect, and celebrate time with family. We left feeling refreshed, well cared for, and grateful for the many memorable moments created by such a dedicated team.

If I could describe our stay at Tulia Zanzibar in one sentence, it would be: the vibes were absolutely unmatched! 🤍🌴 We had the pleasure of spending one night at Tulia before completing a full site inspection the following morning, and from the moment we arrived until checkout, we were genuinely impressed. We stayed on the all-inclusive package, and let me just say… the food and drinks kept coming! 🍹 The cocktails were some of the best we’ve had in Zanzibar, and the breakfast? Easily a 100000000/10. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and even more special knowing that many of the ingredients come straight from Tulia’s own farm. Now let’s talk about the customer service because WOW. Every single staff member made us feel at home, but a very special thank you to Enock, Zamda, Ezra, Lucas, and the entire Tulia family. You all had us laughing nonstop and made our stay so memorable. Your energy, kindness, and genuine hospitality are exactly what make Tulia so special. One of our favorite surprises was that every guest receives a complimentary massage, and you can choose any massage from the spa menu. Even children receive their own complimentary massage, so if you’re traveling with little ones… let’s just say those extra massages might find their way to mom or dad! 😂 We also took advantage of the complimentary kayaking, spent plenty of time enjoying the gorgeous swim-up pool bar (my personal favorite!), and loved that the resort has multiple pools—including one with a waterslide that’s perfect for families. Dinner was an experience on its own, featuring a beautiful live acrobatic performance that made the evening even more special. To top it all off, Tulia welcomed us with a complimentary bottle of wine and the sweetest handwritten note. Those thoughtful touches never go unnoticed. While Tulia is absolutely family-friendly, I honestly think Gen Z travelers would fall in love with this resort. The music, the atmosphere, the energy, the cocktails, and the overall vibe make it feel fun, lively, and luxurious all at the same time. As founders of Butiama & Beyond, we don’t recommend properties lightly. We personally visit every resort before partnering with them, and Tulia has absolutely earned our confidence. We will without hesitation be bringing our clients here because we know they’ll have an unforgettable experience. Thank you, Tulia, for making us feel so welcome. We can’t wait to return!

We stayed here at the end of our honeymoon, after 8 nights at a different hotel and then straight to a safari, we wanted our final 3 nights to be complete relaxation and that is exactly what we got. The hotel grounds & layout is great. There are only 16 rooms which means the hotel is very quiet, which is exactly what we wanted. Sometimes it felt like we were the only guests at the hotel. The food is absolutely excellent. A la carte dining for 3 meals a day as well as snacks on top. My only complaint with the food was that vegetarian options for dinner (for my wife) felt like a bit of an after thought. Dinner was the one meal you didn’t get a choice as it was a set 5 course menu. When my wife would mention to the waiter that she was vegetarian, you could see a bit of a panic and then after reassuring us it was in hand, we would be surprised by a random meal as there wasn’t a vegetarian menu. I must stress again though, the food was delicious and plentiful. The staff were all great and friendly. There wasn’t anything that felt impossible with the staff, they would make absolutely everything happen. A special shoutout to Joseph, he was super friendly and loved a chat. The drinks were also tasty and the menu was huge. The barman would also make any drink we requested off menu too. The room was very modern and clean. Bed was comfy and the mini fridge was filled daily by the cleaners. The cleaners were great and came twice a day which was nice. My complaint with the room is with the mosquito net. It isn’t a 360 degree net as there is a gap between the back wall behind the bed and the net. This doesn’t make sense to me since this leaves opportunity for mosquitoes to bite during the night. The pool area is very nice and clean and feels integrated with the main areas of the hotel. Nothing spectacular but definitely aesthetic. Evening entertainment was always locally themed which was nice and was during dinner which was also a good idea. The spa (each guest gets a free first massage) was great, the masseuse was good at what she does and we both left feeling relaxed. One thing we didn’t know about the hotel was that it had its own farm which is integrated within the grounds. They grow alot of their own spices, fruit and vegetables. They also keep chickens & ducks for eggs and meat. Overall a great stay and we would definitely return in the future.
