Grifid Hotel Metropol

I did not know what to expect from this hotel but I did expect more than what I got. The hotels website uses words such as tranqulity, premium and luxury but I would describe the hotel as okay with a nice beach area. The staff is friendly and service minded. The guests at this adult only hotel was mostly elderly germans, to the point that menues, signs and other written information was presented in both german, bulgarian and english. We were mistaken for germans a number of times where the staff talked german to us and we had to respond in english. The food is okay. I'm gluten intolerant and this was an issue. I'm glad it's just an intolerance, and not an allergy, as it was really hard to get gluten free food. I had to do a lot of meal gymnastics to get something to eat for lunch and dinner. The hotel has some themed dinners, these are okay but the themes and the food does not always match. The mongolian dinner served chinese food for example. The whole hotel and its surrounding areas are noisy. The corridors outside the hotel rooms start to play music around 09 in the morning, and the beach bar on the hotels beach area plays music all day long. There is also a beach club right by the hotel, which also plays music all day long. There was also a sewage smell right by one of the pools every afternoon. The beach area is nice, if you are able to filter out the music. There are a good number of sun beds but be aware; we experienced a lot of guests who put their towels on the sun beds early in the morning but did not use the sun beds before noon. It is stated in the hotel information that reserving sun beds is not allowed but the hotel staff did not do anything about it. We brought the issue to the hotel manager but nothing happend to resolve the issue. The hotel room was okay. It was clean but our bath room had a smell and the bed could have been more comfortable. The bio pool is really nice and the partial view from the infinity pool is good. The spa is small, but the massages is worth a try.

Give 5 stars to all staff. Both in the hotel but certain also at the Beach. Beach bar guys and also the Beach staff, helping with umbrellas and stuff. Excerlent service, good food, nice atmosphere. I recomend this hotel absolutely

We spent eight wonderful days at **GRIFID Metropol** in July and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel, especially for couples looking for a relaxing adults-only getaway. What impressed us the most was the dining concept. Instead of the typical buffet, lunch and dinner were served à la carte, which gave every meal a much higher-quality feel. Breakfast included a small buffet, but you could also order freshly prepared dishes from the menu, which we really appreciated. The Bulgarian-themed dinner was a highlight of our stay, and the lamb soup was simply outstanding. The hotel offers two beautiful pool areas, and one of our favorite features was being able to order drinks and snacks directly to our sun loungers. If you prefer the beach, the hotel also provides its own reserved sunbeds there. Another big advantage was the opportunity to book tables at several different restaurants, both within the hotel and at nearby GRIFID hotels, allowing us to enjoy a great variety of cuisines throughout our stay. We stayed in a **Junior Suite Side Sea View**, which was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. A special thank you goes to our housekeeper, **Komang**, who brightened our days with creative towel art and a warm smile. It was a small gesture that made a lasting impression. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, welcoming, and professional. We'd also like to give a special thank you to the young lady at Guest Relations who helped us book our excursions and restaurant reservations on our first day. Her kindness and efficiency gave our holiday the perfect start. If we had one small suggestion for improvement, it would be to offer a wider selection of guided excursions in English. Other than that, we honestly couldn't find anything worth complaining about. Overall, GRIFID Metropol offers outstanding service, excellent food, beautiful facilities, and a peaceful atmosphere. We happily give it **5 out of 5 stars** and would not hesitate to return.
