Hotel Karolina

First impressions were very good, our room was clean and it was my partners bday so they had put a bottle of wine in our room. We were all inc. never had any problems with any of the meals. The pool is absolutely freezing !!! And everyone puts their towels out early ! Staff are not happy people, never smile or wish you good morning, there a young team who could do with some direction. Communication is extremely poor no information in your room regarding times of meals or bar service time. No curtesy room to use on the last day and we were not leaving the hotel till 10 pm ! So had to wash and change in the toilets. Now then let’s talk about the other guests in the hotel they’re rude and confrontational taking all the seats in the restaurant and saving them for themselves and friends causing a safety hazard obstructing fire exits. They bang into you and knock you out the way. Overall Bulgaria is beautiful,would I go back to this hotel unfortunately no.

Staff are incompetent and do not care. When asked about why they aren’t doing anything about people reserving sunbeds the night before their response is “there’s no issue with it, I don’t see why it shouldn’t be allowed”. The staff behind the bar are also rude. Asked for a vanilla milkshake - told to wait 2 minutes then they continue serving other customers while occasionally glancing over at us!

We visited hotel karolina on the 4th of July. This was our first visit to Bulgaria. All the receptionist staff where very lovely and friendly and most of all helpful. Our rooms where very clean and changed daily. The pool area was lovely, if you want a sunbed next to the pool, I would recommend putting a towel out early to save a spot for yourself because the sunbeds where taken quickly. There is a sun bed area away from the pool area if you can't get one near the pool anyway. The food wasn't to my taste (but I'm a really fussy eater) you will be able to eat something. The cocktails I didn't really like on the all inclusive, but again I'm really fussy with alcahol when I'm drinking. The local larger was OK tho! There is reaustraunts and supermarkets very close by. The bus stop is just around the corner too. Nessabar is about 15 mins away. Crazy golf was fun and that's just across the road from the hotel. The beach was very close and was lovely. Water sports was brilliant and quite cheap too. I really loved Bulgaria it was brilliant and the people was so lovely. I would definitely stay at this hotel and I would 100% visit Bulgaria again. Oh and the bar staff where great too!
