Came here 22 sept, and are staying until 28, but already considering changing hotel.. In Norway where I am from, I am part of an exclusive group hired by the biggest hotel chain, where our only job is to test hotels covering EVERYTHING.. And after just 3 days here I am disappointed as I feel ripped off due to the hotel’s marketing team has really over sold the quality of this hotel. Even the hotel name “Prestige”, gave me hope of having a week vacation with LUXURY, wellness and most of all relaxation. Maybe I’m just spoiled in my own country where we have better standards, as for what is considered “normal” behaviour among the guests.. Here it’s OVER FILLED with screaming kids (kill me now!), the maids don’t understand English (?!?), the food is tasteless everyday and what is MOST disappointing regarding the food buffet is that the signs saying what this food is, is MOSTLY in only Bulgarian! Does this hotel aim for having mostly Bulgarian OR international customers?? Or the hotel management simply doesn’t care, as long as they get paid.. I would have hoped for a 4 star resort with much better variety and healthier options for the food buffet, and more normal desserts.. Here everything SCREAMS too much added food colouring, and that looks revolting. I witnessed what I hope is illegal in also Bulgaria, where management fix the financial books.. (I got a massage, and when it was time to pay, they pushed HARD for me to pay with cash and not card.. When I said for the 7’ time I only had card, the SPA manager than told the masseuse that I had to pay an EXTRA fee for paying with card (15 LEV extra + the price)! Here the masseuse only gets paid 30% of what they make, and the management keep the remaining 70%…! SHOCKING! Not paid by the hour either! On a 4 star hotel I would hope better financial conditions for the staff! The rooms are amazing, the bed is a little too hard, but overall like a 5 star hotel (just regarding the room!!), sadly I would have hoped and expected a much BIGGER tv for this kind of 4 star hotel, and also they either got a smart tv /streaming adapter (this is 2024, soon 2025 after all!), because the tv channels are mostly dubbed in Bulgarian! Again like I previously said, there is little consideration for having INTERNATIONAL guests.. I did actually prepare for this as I brought my own Apple TV device, but like all negatives that has happened during my stay, I could not use the APPLE TV because the APPLE TV can’t connect to the internet, as you need to validate the internet signal through a pop up system on your phone/pc.. If only they had a normal password or open WiFi without this stupid pop up..! The interior (indoor) swimming pool they claim is heated up to 25 Celsius, but in reality it is ****** COLD!!! Heated pool was one of my 4 reasons why I chose this hotel.. I came to Varna, Bulgaria because of medical tourism (get dental implants at the BIG dentist facility in Varna), and as I am going through a very big surgery fully sedated, I had to sleep at a hotel where I got rest and relax with comfort.. So for me personally who can’t watch TV because the languages in every film is Bulgarian, who can’t connect my APPLE TV because the internet settings are stupid and can’t relax in the common areas because there are screaming kids everywhere (and the stupid parents do let the kids scream and misbehaving!!), I see no where for me to enjoy my stay the rest of my booking.. I hope the hotel change the marketing to a more honest description of the hotel, from relaxing SPA hotel for adults to a family hotel with mostly activities for only children. Now, if the hotel management somehow can fix the internet setting so that I can connect my APPLE TV, I will stay here for the remaining 4 days, but if not.. Than I will have no other choice than to book another hotel. I hope this review was informative, honest enough and constructive enough, for both potential future guests, but also the hotel management, as they have claimed in previous reviews that they do actually improve changes to the hotel every year. Thank you. Mr Calle, room 631

The hotel is advertised as a 4-star deluxe establishment across several platforms; however, the reality is far from this description. The unhygienic and hazardous conditions, are evident from the severe lack of maintenance and cleanliness throughout the property, particularly in the entryways, hallways, and most concerningly, the rooms. The room we received was in very poor condition, including: - Floors and corners filled with accumulated dirt and hair - Tables, couches, and floors covered in food debris and hair - Toilet and walls visibly dirty with brown stains. Upon reporting the conditions to reception, they sent cleaning personnel, but during this process, we observed a concerning lack of training. The staff used hotel towels to clean the toilet, walls, and even a dirty couch. It became clear that the hotel is under-resourced, with overworked staff who, while apologetic, admitted they did not have the time to clean thoroughly. We requested a different room, but the alternative offered was no better. The conditions in this hotel is deeply concerning and real hazardous. I would not recommend bringing children here. Given the state of the rooms and hallways, we did not feel confident that the food areas would be any better, so we made the decision to leave the hotel. Less than a kilometer away, we found a more affordable hotel in very good condition and very clean. We paid around 120 euros through hotels.com for one night which is too much for a 1 star hotel. The hotel did not refund anything. Please stay away and dont bring children to this so-called hotel!!

We booked this hotel because it was one of the top-rated in Golden Sands, and we read that the food here was supposed to be really good. We just arrived 60 minutes ago, or rather, we were allowed to check in and use the facilities an hour ago. We arrived at 12:00, with five excited children. One of them was a bit sick. We expected that we could simply store our luggage and use the facilities (pool, snack bar, etc.). That was absolutely not an option. We had to wait in the lobby, and if we were hungry or thirsty, we could buy lunch in the restaurant or drinks at the bar… We were NOT allowed to go down to the pool and wait for our room to be ready. In general, the tone is quite unpleasant and inhospitable. No service. No smiles. Just a feeling of being a burden. Too bad—especially for our kids who could hardly wait to swim. We took a walk around the area and got something to eat. When we returned, our child's condition had worsened, and we were seriously considering seeking medical attention—but fortunately, he got better. Even then, it was not possible to get our room or something to drink for him. We finally got to our rooms, which are very nice. No complaints there. But the overall impression of the hotel is VERY worn and very old. At most, 2 stars. We went to get pool towels, only to find out that they were closed and wouldn’t open for another 45 minutes. So we went to the snack bar. The pizzas were fine, but the fries tasted like they were from the day before. There was a small room with cakes, which I do not recommend entering. The cakes were INEDIBLE and extremely salty. When we went to order drinks, perhaps the biggest “game changer” of all came. It is NOT possible to order light/diet drinks with our All-Inclusive package. We were told we could pay for them at the main bar… We did NOT see that coming. We have traveled A LOT and stayed at many All-Inclusive hotels in many countries—this we have never experienced. Are we not in 2024? And what about people with diabetes? We got some water and a drink. The drink was undrinkable, and the water tasted like chlorine and salt… When we finally got to the pool, the kids were happy. However, the lifeguard was sitting quite unmotivated, blowing his whistle, and looking at his phone… All in all, a very disappointing start. We have never complained before or written a bad review, even when we have been dissatisfied. But unfortunately, this just surpasses everything we have experienced—and all in just a few hours… What a disappointment!
