Mare Ayia Napa (Atlantica Mare Village Ayia Napa)

We came here last year and had a lovely time. The rooms are big and spacious and ours had a swim up pool which we loved. The à la carte restaurants had nice food and we do recommend going to them! The buffet did have enough variety but the food never seemed to stay hot enough? Most meals were lukewarm/ cold. The drinks are good and so are the cocktails. We did find that the hotel lacked evening entertainment, there wasn’t much to do to be honest. This hotel is very good if you have babies and kids. We tried to book it again this year and the price has doubled and not entirely sure that it is worth almost £2,000 PP for a weeks holiday, so it’s a shame as we would have liked to have come here again.

Absolutely stunning hotel, the service is second to none. The staff go out of their way to make every moment special and are always happy to help! Paint and sip is a must! Would highly recommend the Estia for gorgeous food, a relaxed warm atmosphere and great chocolate cake ☺️ thank you too all of the team, cooks, servers - we have had a wonderful time. Special shoutout to Ajay for being so attentive and kind. Hoping to return in the near future!

Very good food and good service 😃

Mare resort is situated next to a national park with a private lagoon and has kind staff dedicated to giving you the ultimate vacation experience. We have been to many resorts and the food here was amazing. I especially recommend the beach barbecue restaurant where you eat under the stars with sea view and illuminated palm trees. Only issue is the family rooms/suites which do not have separate bedrooms for your children.

Unfortunately, not a nice review to be writing for this '5 star' hotel. We arrived very much looking forward to our 2 week holiday before returning back to work from maternity leave. Firstly, the hotel itself is beautiful and clean upon arrival. We were allocated our room and unfortunately it wasn't quite what we expected but the hotel were more than accommodating and moved us to another family swim up room in D block which we were happy with. We unfortunately then came across a piece of glass which our 11 month old could have picked up, swallowed and it's not even worth thinking about what could have happened. why we found this in a FAMILY room we do not know. we raised this with the hotel who offered us to change room... it seems any problems people have a room change is the answer. we then moved rooms which was 'upgrade' apparently yet we still had issues. the air con rack itself was rattling like mad for 2 days straight with the winds. apparently according to the engineer... ' its not that bad' on the first occasion. when i say it sounded like bombs in the distance i am not lying. i then rang reception to ask if we were safe given the recent issues... to be told ' the noise is from outside the hotel '... this was about 11pm at night... there were no festivals or anything going on at this time. when we complained to the male manager the following day after losing 2 nights sleep, he laughed... seemed to him it was funny we expressed our concerns something was going off around us making us unsettled. he then said he would get the engineer back out to check... 6 hours later ... WE HAD TO CALL AGAIN. low and behold, the air con rack was rattling... 5 minutes of work and the noise fixed. to be called lying and laughed at was not professional. Each morning, the breakfast was cold. The food each morning was cold. nothing stayed hot. what made it worse is that they all knew about it and plan to fix it next year. WHY ISN'T THIS ADVERTISED ON ANY HOLIDAY WEBSITE!? being pregnant, this was not ideal as i couldn't have food hot, to cold. I cannot knock the female manager we dealt with, she was utterly appauled at what we've experienced. But a room change really isn't the answer for everything. i certainly dont think this is a 5 star resort and mearly a 4. we won't be returning unfortunately. all staff have been lovely i cannot fault them, around the complex is clean and visually beautiful but unfortunately we've not had a nice experience.
