Mimosa Beach Hotel

This was our second stay at Mimosa Beach Hotel, and it certainly won’t be our last. The location is absolutely perfect, set right beside a beautiful cove with crystal-clear water that’s ideal for swimming and snorkelling. The hotel has plenty of sun loungers available around the pool and throughout the lovely garden areas, so finding somewhere to relax was never a problem. The staff are truly outstanding – every member of the team was friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. The food was excellent throughout our stay. One feature we particularly loved was the option to swap your evening meal for lunch at the pool bar, which offers a fantastic menu and gives you a bit more flexibility during your holiday. Entertainment was just right for us – enjoyable and relaxed without being overly loud or intrusive. The hotel has a lovely, chilled atmosphere which is one of the reasons we keep returning. Our room was perfect, and we were lucky enough to stay in Room 310 with a stunning sea view. Waking up to that view every morning was a real highlight. Mimosa Beach is a small, friendly hotel with a personal feel. It’s around a 30-minute walk into Protaras, and the walk itself is beautiful as you can follow the coastline and beachfront the whole way. One thing that stood out was seeing so many familiar faces from our previous visit, both among the staff and the guests. There are clearly lots of repeat visitors, which says everything about the quality of this hotel. I’d highly recommend ignoring some of the reviews that mention expensive prices. We found everything very reasonable – the most expensive alcoholic drink we bought was only €5.50. A special mention must go to Biggles, the owner’s dog, who was around every day. He’s such a well-behaved and friendly boy and became part of the holiday experience! If you’re looking for a relaxed, friendly hotel in a stunning location with excellent food and wonderful staff, Mimosa Beach Hotel is hard to beat. Highly recommended!

The rooms are modern with plenty of storage and aircon as standard. Plenty of plug sockets (3 pin, so no need to bring an adapter). We had a large balcony and lovely big walk in shower with ample hot water. You can hire a kettle but we bought our own. Bring mugs, tea and coffee etc. Our fridge worked well and kept drinks cool. There are plenty of areas to sit and relax - the pool area, outside bar, gardens and the lovely beach cove that almost feels private to the hotel but others can use it. The sunbeds on the beach cost €10 for 2 beds and a parasol for the day. An ice cream man comes a couple of times a day and charges €2 for one scoop and €3 for 2 scoops.. very reasonable! It was refreshing to see no one reserving sunbeds! This is a rule of the hotel and there are plenty to go round! There isn't really much around the hotel in terms of bars and restaurants. There are supermarkets and the bus stops just up the road which is a moderate hill. You can walk along the coast path to Protaras it's a beautiful walk along by the sea..lots of places along there to stop for a drink. The food at the hotel is sadly mainly for British tastes. There was one Cypriot night but I would like to have seen much more Greek/Cypriot food on the menus. There is a limited choice of food compared to other hotels but we always found something and had an enjoyable meal. It is possible to swap dinner for lunch we did this on our last day and we're pleasantly surprised at the choices as well as recieving waiter service at the bar instead of a buffet. Lastly, and the reason I didn't give 5 stars is my friend was charged €6.50 for a shandy in a tiny plastic glass! 😬.. after that we decided not to patronise the bar and we purchased our drinks from the supermarket to enjoy on our balcony. Having said that I would return to this hotel and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday.

The Mimosa Beach Hotel is a beautiful family run hotel, located in its own grounds and next to a delightful small sea cove! The hotel rooms are basic but clean and have the basics included, the restaurant delivers lovely well cooked food and waiters are always happy and smiling willing to help! The owners can be seen during the day and evening mixing with the guests, chatting, making the stay personal! The pool area is large with a small children’s pool close by (life guard on duty), alongside is an external bar for drinks and snacks. Mimosa short mat bowls club are attached to the hotel, guests are able to try out the sport on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday afternoon.

Not yet visited Are inflatables allowed in the swimming pool ? We are planning to visit in July this year and my wife likes the use of a lilo whilst in the pool. I have emailed the hotel direct but no response received as yet. Wanting to book this week but saw a review inflatables not allowed surely if not allowed this would be mentioned on the website or when booking Anthony Jones

Nice enough hotel our room was nice we paid extra for sea view.food was ok.no shops nearby staff were nice would stay again.
