Papouis Protaras Hotel

Myself and family absolutely love this hotel! It’s so clean and comfortable. The food is lovely and there’s plenty of choice for everyone. Pool areas are kept clean and tidy and the new pirate ship pool was amazing for the children, lifeguards were brilliant with my neurodivergent grandchildren. Bar staff and waiters really make this hotel, they go above and beyond for you. Especially Iqbal Majid he’s been really accommodating towards my family and he really does go above and beyond, he’s been so good with my grandchildren! He even made sure my grandson had some jelly which is what he was asking for all week. I’ve been coming to this hotel for a couple of years now and our next holiday in September we cannot wait! The Papouis is our favourite hotel in protaras.

We came here for 9 nights as a family of 3, our son being 3yrs old. We were very impressed by the modern, clean hotel. It was very good for familes, the pirate ship with slides, small child’s pool, ice cream all day, kids club and play area. Food was delicious and well varied. Staff were very helpful and friendly and worked very hard! They deserve a massive congratulations on the presentation of this hotel and all there work! The surrounding areas very nice and plenty to do for all ages. Pernera and protoras strip are both a short walk away along with shops/bars and restaurants in the immediate area. We will definitely be returning! Thank you for a fab holiday.

We have just returned from a wonderful 10-night stay at Papouis Protaras Hotel and had a fantastic holiday. The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout, and all of the staff were incredibly friendly and couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, with plenty of choice at every meal, and the pool area was lovely and well maintained. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The only small downside was that it felt a little cramped for three people, but it certainly didn’t take away from our holiday. The entertainment could do with some improvement. Out of the 10 nights we stayed, the Parrot Show was by far the best evening and we really enjoyed it. More entertainment of that standard would make the evenings even better. A very special mention has to go to Sunil, who is an absolute credit to the hotel. He was always smiling, regularly checked in to make sure everything was okay, and even remembered what drinks we liked. His excellent customer service really made our stay extra special. The location is also great—just a 5-minute taxi ride to the Protaras Strip and the beautiful beach, making it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer. We would definitely recommend Papouis Protaras Hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to return in the future. Thank you to everyone for making our holiday so enjoyable

The hotel is located in Pernera away from the busy beaches and a short walk downhill to beautiful small coves with golden sands and crystal clear water and where you can walk the boardwalk to Parlimini or in the opposite direction to Protaras and Fig Tree Bay. The hotel itself is newly refurbished and you are welcomed by friendly, polite efficient staff at reception, the bar, cleaners, restaurant and poolside. The rooms are modern and kept pristine by the staff. There's a small fridge with a refillable jug of water and there's a water machine on each floor. There's a smart TV to connect your Netflix etc, hairdryer, air conditioning and good WiFi. The restaurant food was excellent, breakfast included freshly cooked omelettes and pancakes , cooked breakfast, porridge, pastries, cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cold meats, and breads. Lunch and Dinner included fresh pizza and pasta, different types of potatoes, carved roast meat, veg, salad, fabulous different rices and curries, chicken and pork in sauces. The staff are very efficient clearing tables and serving drinks to your table and always so polite. The poolside bar serves freshly made coctails, frappes, wines, beer, shorts and ice cream, the staff also take drink orders from the poolside and with in minutes the drink is in your hand on the sun lounger. Once again the staff are the best I have encountered and nothing is to much trouble. There are plenty of beds around the 3 pools but there's no pool towels, you can buy towels at reception but that is your towel and you don't swap it for a fresh one each day. Sadly there is one downside to this fantastic hotel and thats the entertainment which is a young girl entertaining the children, absolutely no personality and the children would lose interest and most of the time they gave up. The daytime entertainment was non existent, some guy who would walk up to the volleyball net shout volleyball and would disappear never to be seen again for the rest of the day. There was no building a rapport with the guests and getting teams together for the volleyball. The evening entertainment most nights was diabolical. An organist accompanied by a guitarist some nights made us feel like we were in an old people's home along with bingo where the tickets were half heartedly distributed and the 3 dancers were the worst. The comedy circus was fabulous along with the parrot shows and were the highlight of our fortnight. It's such a shame because in every other respect this hotel is the best I have had the pleasure of staying at in a long time and with an animation team with fresh ideas you would go a long way to find better. Sort the entertainment out please because we can't wait to comeback and this would make our stay perfect.
