The Blue Ivy Hotel & Suites

Cannot praise this Hotel enough! ALL staff were so helpful, friendly, always putting their visitors first. Food & service was 1st class. It was impeccable clean, all service staff had a smile & warm greeting. The atmosphere was friendly & inviting in all areas of Hotel & staff visible all times. In restaurant area the service staff were so welcoming & the whole area so clean - not forgetting to mention how AMAZING the food was & plenty of variety available, I am a fussy eater, but I was taken back over quality & variety of food, we had so much choice & quality & taste was 1st class! The cleaning staff were so friendly & efficient at their jobs - room was cleaned to high standards daily - we have NO negative comments, not one! Never had such a friendly, clean, happy stay at a hotel. So Thank you to ALL staff at all levels at BLUE IVY HOTEL & SUITES in Protaras you made our holiday 👌👏👏 - we will be back as soon as we can

Our review following our first stay at the Blue Ivy Hotel & Suites Protaras, on arrival we were greeted by the front of house staff who were very welcolming and went through all the information of what was happening at the hotel and how to get the best from our stay for 7 nights HB. We stayed on the 3rd floor room 326 from 6th to 13th May, we found the room spacious, with walk in power shower in the bathroom and we thought the room was bright, fresh and really nice. TV with good english channels, , side sea view balcony with 2 chairs and a table. Safe was free, water, coffee and tea making facilities were replenished every day, the room was cleaned every day. The room also had a do not disturb button, which lit up a led indicator outside the room for your privacy, we were given 2 room cards with a card holder with your room number on it. The whole hotel was very clean and fresh, with the hotel only having 4 floors the lifts were good and not busy, the bar area and seating inside and outside were extremly comfortable, bar service and happy hour available from 18:00- 20:00 hours, the bar was well stocked and good cocktail choices, draughted and botted beers available. Were were half board and the dining experience we found to be excellent, from all the waiting on staff from the moment we arrived they always worked with a smile and greeted you curtiously. The food at breakfast and evening meals were exceptional, well presented, and informative signs on every dish as were neeed a Gluten and dairy free dietery requirement. That was made available to us by the staff and especially head chef, who took the time daily to inform my wife what was available to her, to make sure it met her intolereance requirements, to the effect that alternative dishes were prepared for her by the head chef, if needed, this kind of service made our stay such a great experience, and took away any stress we may have thought prior to arriving with food that was prepared . I can say what a fantastic stay and the General manager Mr Nicos made sure all his guests had a fantstic experience the way he took the time to greet and chat to us and others during our stay. The pool area has 1 large and 1 family pool, sunbeds were available daily, free sunbed towels were made available and could be changed daily for free by the great housekeeping staff. All in all we had a great time at the Blue Ivy Hotel & Suites and could not fault a thing from the whole stay, what a credit the hotel is for making our visit so enjoyable.

We have just had two lovely weeks at the blue ivy . When we arrived we were kindly upgraded by Nicos the manager to a bigger side sea view room which had a massive comfortable bed , robes and slippers , refilled tea and coffee tray , and a coffee machine . The towels were good quality and the shower was both overhead and hand with good power . The balcony is a good size with two chairs and a table and a lovely view down to the sea . The aircon was one of the best we have ever had . We were in room 104 and it was handy for the lift and stairs . We were bed and breakfast and loved sitting outside eating overlooking the pool . The adult pool is heated with steps for easy access and a pool bar to keep you refreshed . Occasionally the two ladies at the pool bar brought around free slush drinks . There are plenty of sunbeds and we always found one but we were in the early season so don't know about later on in the year . The sunbeds are padded and very comfortable . The food in the restaurant is very good and we were again kindly given a voucher by Nicos for an evening meal which we both enjoyed . The main thing that stands out about this hotel is its staff . Every single one of them is amazing . From the reception , restaurant , bar , pool bar , towel lady and cleaners . They all are a credit to this hotel and go the extra mile to give you great service . We are already looking to return .

Have just returned from 2 weeks at the Blue Ivy, having been there twice previously and once again can not fault this amazing place, Welcomed at reception on arrival by staff who genuinely seem so pleased to welcome you. As we had been before our room was upgraded to a side sea view and given a voucher for 15 % off drinks in the hotel. Two small bottles of wine were in the room and a welcome back message from the Hotel manager, all lovely touches. Only went bed and breakfast but food fabulous and plenty of choice. Staff very attentive and coffee and tea given as you sit down. Heated pool a bonus as a little chilly for a few days. Pool bar staff Karolina and Zoi very attentive and chatty. Rooms spacious and cleaned daily. Everyone from the housekeeping staff where you got your towels and in the restaurant and reception were so welcoming and helpful and a wealth of knowledge on the area. It was both our birthdays while there and I had a cake and card in the room when returning from sunbathing and my partner had his delivered while sunbathing by the pool both very welcome and a lovely touch. Nicos the manager greets most people throughout the day and genuinely just wants to make your stay perfect, and will go out of his way to make this happen. Will absolutely be back next year .

Having just visited this hotel again, and despite the scaremongering from the media, I’d like to say Cyprus is very safe and life there is no different, so I would encourage you to go. Blue Ivy Hotel & Suites is amazing. From arriving at the hotel, you will be greeted by the very friendly front-of-house team, who will explain everything you need to know about the hotel, and they are always on hand 24/7 to answer any questions you may have. ### Rooms We had a side sea-view room on the 3rd floor, and I can honestly say the rooms are spacious, modern, and come with a hairdryer, full-length mirror, sofa, and a very comfy bed. Nice little touches at night include a note left on your bed with a goodnight cookie. Water is supplied in the room, the safe is free to use, and the fridge, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are all really nice too. ### Pool Area There are two pools — one adults-only and one for families — and both are a very good size. The sun loungers are amazingly comfortable with thick cushions, and there are plenty of day beds too, complete with curtains for extra privacy or shade. The pool bar serves a great variety of cold drinks and snacks. ### Restaurant Breakfast is buffet-style with a wide variety of choice, and it is always hot. The head chef and his team are always on hand to greet you. Lunch is served from a menu, and it’s amazing — so much to choose from. I tried something different every day, and everything was very tasty. Dinner is buffet-style, with a different theme each night, and again the food was amazing. Happy hour runs every evening from 6pm until 7pm in the lobby bar, with 2-for-1 on all drinks, and the cocktails are amazing. Hats off to Nikolai — he definitely knows how to make incredible drinks. Mr Nicos, the hotel manager, hosts a welcome party for guests, and I highly recommend attending. It’s wonderful to hear him speak so highly about his staff and personally introduce you to them. They are all a credit to the hotel, working so hard together as one big family. I can honestly say it’s the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, and I already look forward to returning.
