The Blue Ivy Hotel & Suites

Our third visit to the Blue Ivy, wouldn't stay anywhere else. Nikos and his team deliver the best hospitality you will find anywhere in the world. The bars and restaurant are fantastic, rooms and public areas are very clean and the pool area is very relaxing. Special mention to Zoe at the pool bar and Amir in the restaurant for their service during our stay. Its no coincidence you see the same faces each year, everyone returns to the Blue Ivy.

Last day at the Blue Ivy and I have to say it's one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Nicos the manager is so lovely making sure everyone is happy he goes above and beyond. The food is amazing and we enjoyed everything we had. I have to mention certain staff for looking after us. Marinos never stops smiling and the waiters Krishna,Subaraj and Rupak are so professional in what they do. Ramon one of the chefs for giving us his knowledge and delicious food. We found the hotel to be a really good place to chat to people and the location is good. It's at the top end of the strip. It is definitely a place we will return to.

Sat in the airport feeling depressed 😔 so thought i would write this review we have just had our 5th visit to this fabulous hotel for 10nights on this beautiful island🏖🌊🌞 4 out of the 5 stays have been in Oct the weather is always warm it has been in the 30s.. one night we had a lightening storm with some rain first that we have had but was on the night time and during the night then back to sunshine again😁 I love watching a storm on hol. Hotel is always amazing we feel the 5th visit was like the 1st visit for us (apart from my daughter came out for her first visit to this beautiful island and first visit to this hotel also) she also didnt want to return back home. Even though the hotel is fabulous we feel its every single working person in this hotel out the front or out the back in our eyes actually MAKE the hotel special they all work there socks off with long shifts keeping everyone happy whilst on their holidays the cleaners do a fab job keeping everything spotless, the chefs, waiters/waitesses, kitchen staff all work terribly hard to serve the most delicious food on all the morns/nights. Life guard/bar staff all great too. Front of house to are very accommodating to any request and are also very helpful. Nikoç is a fabulous manager and we think understands the clientele needs very well and his little added touches make things more personal rather than making you feel like a number which also is great business sense, he is approachable/plesent and is present every day morn and night so any issues you may have there is every opportunity to go and see him. We had NO issues with getting sunbeds despite some previous reviews. Its local to the strip so even though its situated off the main road you are still in walkable distance. The beach is also just as close in the opposite direction. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Cypus or Protaras. We always book whilst we're there for next Oct .....roll on we cant wait. This was our seventh stay at the Blue Ivy. We have previously left five star reviews and can only do so again because, as always, everything about our stay was just perfect and exactly as we expected. We originally booked for two weeks but as the holiday got nearer we felt that we just had to increase it up to a three week stay and we are so very glad that we did because we felt at home as soon as we walked through the door and we thoroughly enjoyed, once again, our home away from home. It was really great to see so many of the same staff and as usual, each and every one of the staff were absolutely wonderful and went to great lengths to look after us in the manner to which we have become accustomed. We want to thank all the staff in the hotel from the front of house team, waiting staff in the restaurant, the bar staff and we must also thank all the staff that work so tirelessly behind the scenes as part of the housekeeping team who keep the place spotlessly clean and the kitchen team who produce such a varied and delicious range of food, day in, day out. We don't want to name anyone in particular because we wouldn't want to upset anybody that we had forgotten. That said, we do have our favourites and they know who they are. We have already booked our return for September 2026 and are already counting down the days. So thanks to Nicos and his whole team at the Blue Ivy for once again making our holiday so very special and see you all again very soon.

We have just returned from our 2nd visit to the Blue Ivy. Mr Nicos very generously upgraded our room from a standard land view to a family room with sea view - such a lovely, kind gesture. We upgraded our board from Bed & Breakfast to All Inclusive Gold. This worked out more cost effective than booking at the outset. Once again, the staff were amazing - nothing too much trouble, impeccable service, always with a smile. The food was excellent quality, particularly the lunches, which are ordered from an a la carte menu. The other meals are buffet style, with the evening meal being a different theme each night (Indian, Asian, Italian, Greek/Cypriot etc,). If you have dietary requirements, it is worth contacting the hotel to ensure they are able to cater for you. There were some vegetarian choices & fish choices, if you're a pescetarian. There were some GF choices but you may want to check, if you're vegan or have other dietary needs. If you're all inclusive & find one of the theme nights not to your taste, you can ask for something else to be cooked for you. The drinks are great - amazing cocktails. The milkshakes are really lovely too - last year, we found them a bit tasteless but they have definitely sorted that this year. The cleaning staff are constantly 'on it', doing their utmost to ensure the hotel & grounds are kept clean & tidy. The rooms have shower gel, shampoo, conditioner & hand soap in constant supply. The safe & air conditioning are in the rooms as standard at no extra cost. Also, there is no Island tax to pay at this hotel. All great benefits. A special mention must go to Maria in the spa - she does amazing treatments & I would highly recommend her. I can see why people return year after year, sometimes multiple stays in the same year - the staff, as I've said, are amazing but the repeat guests are almost like a little extended family. For us, the only negatives are: The pillow quality - they're quite flat & hard. The sunbed situation - people queue up ready for when the pool area opens st 8am & reserve multiple sunbeds. The adult pool side gets shaded in the afternoon. As I've previously said, there isn't anything the hotel can do about this - I'm just mentioning it for awareness. All in all, another great stay.
