Vangelis Hotel & Suites

Very good time there. The stuff was amazing in general, but if I had a name one - Peter the animator. Highly recommended..

It was our first time in Cyprus. We are more than happy with our decision for Protaras and especially for Vangelis. The hotel ist not with direct access to the beach, but you only need to cross the road. The whole team is extremely friendly. Their service and support was always at highest level. Many thanks to Dheeraj, who is working at the reception. He made our holidays so comfortable. We will come again to Vangelis.

The location of this hotel is fantastic!! The hotel did lack an atmosphere on a night due to the poor entertainment! The pool entertainment was in need of some overhaul, sadly it was disappointing! Rooms were excellent, but a few minor points. The shower door doesn’t close correctly and the floor ends up flooding! Nothing to prevent this, due to the massive shower head the doors have to open out over increasing the water onto the floor! The bathrooms are poorly lit, our had massive mould patches on the ceiling. Very disappointing but the rest of the room was excellent! Value I think what it cost to go all inclusive was reasonable, but it was towards the end of the holiday season! The al carte night was very good, staff very attentive and food was excellent!. The normal restaurant and all inclusive food was good, breakfast was excellent. Lunch was just average, I think plenty of hot choices, salads, meat dishes but it was a little repetitive! The themed nights were much better, and the deserts were fabulous! The staff in the bar and restaurants work very hard. We stayed opposite the main hotel in b block which was okay, it’s the quieter block! Staff were excellent but everything was done through an app on your phone or QR code which was slightly annoying as you want to escape your phone when you’re away on holiday! So to look at the bar drinks you had to look on your phone or find out meal times, book a different restaurant. And when you booked into the hotel it was done by a QR code, this does not make the holiday experience a great start!. The reviews vary on this holiday but it was towards the end of the season. The main issue which many families was that no pool was heated, the pools were freezing and it was warmer to swim in the sea! The hotel began to loose the sun very early and by 1500 the full pool area was in shade which was disappointing! Despite some issues addressed above we had a nice stay away!

Hotel lovely and clean. Food was very typical of most all inclusive hotels. We agree with others in that it's a shame the pool in in the shade for most of the afternoon. Entertainment wasn't the best, and held in the corner of the pool area. No hotel shop, and nowhere to get any food or snacks in the evening.
