Bluesun Hotel Elaphusa

Terrible experience .. like a prison block, soulless, no atmosphere, dinner served in a chaotic school dining hall with bland, tasteless food, asked to leave after a couple of days and for any adjustment on the price, Manager unwilling to help. Wouldn’t leave kids at the club there if I was desperate.. looked very uninviting. So many people complaining at reception. Ignored all our emails. Such a shame as Bol is so beautiful

Beautiful hotel near the sea, very nicely renovated, surrounded by plants and pines, a lot of greenery inside hotel. The staff at reception and main bar very kind, food has improved a bit, more various dishes and of good quality, although it could be more fresh local food available. Nice beach near, Golden Horn beach 10min walk, town center cca 15min. Most of the staff at restaurant are kind, but there were few of them rude, not to be hired in no place, specially not in 4star hotel. Obviously, the general manager does not care for guest's opinion and comments, and that spoils overall image of the hotel, which with a little more manager's attention could be really Grand hotel Elaphusa.

We are fussy people and will complain but we think this is a good hotel. We stayed end of season so it was relatively quiet some days but not empty by any means. I could imagine I wouldn't like it with lots of people. It's a big hotel. We were in D block, rooms were very clean and the superior room spacious and comfortable for two people for a week. All the staff were excellent: reception, cleaners and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. This is important to me. The food was good. You have to be discerning in what you choose but even after a week, I enjoyed dining there. The location of the hotel is great. The outdoor pool was good, relaxing. Indoor pool less impressive. Didn't use the other facilities but all looked good. One complaint was loud music coming from nearby hotels which always finished at 11 but was annoying before that. In summary, we had a great holiday here.

I had to leave the hotel 2 days earlier due to Family Medical emergency. The Reception staff assured me that i Will be reimbursed as soon as i provide them with the Medical Certficate. I have the e mailed twice the doctor's note note but they refuse to credit 2 nights. Mr Alabbar was contacted.

- Bluesun has ZERO flexibility/compassion/basic common sense when it comes to refunds in exceptional circumstances (i.e - region-wide extreme weather alert, so ferry company cancelled all crossings & therefore literally unable to access the island and check in for our first night). Depsite being able to give them 24hrs notice about a situation that was *totally out of our control*, we were hit with a full charge for ‘no show’. Imagine having several nights affected by weather - risking a lot of money to lose. - reception staff lack charm/personality/warmth to the point of being hostile - not even a smile when we finally did arrive - black mould in bathrooms - loose electrical sockets at toddler height - watched a restaurant staff drop a handful of clean cutlery on the floor & proceed to set dining tables with it anyway - unintentionally ended up with half board - the absolute basic of WATER was not provided at the grim buffet dinner - fried eggs being served at breakfast were literally still raw - handed straight back - the ‘manager’ (bot) generically replying to these reviews provides no genuine concern or individual feedback to the frustrations and negative experiences that multiple guests are left with. It’s been abundantly clear from our experience that as soon as they’ve got your money, they couldn’t care less. - the hotel itself is bland & soulless in all areas - excellent location - the beach directly opposite (not Zlatni rat) is postcard-perfect (heading back to the room via the pool area was jarring). Eat at La Rossa beach bar. Avoid any Bluesun hotel. Will not return. Will not recommend.
