I have very mixed feelings about this hotel. I travelled alone with my 16 year old daughter. On arrival we were allocated room 102 which was on the ground floor in, what felt like a separate part of the hotel with its own entrance and only 1 other room in this part. I felt very vulnerable and asked if we could switch rooms to a higher floor in the main building. I was told the hotel was full for the next two days but they would be able to move me on the third day. The lady on reception sent me a WhatsApp message the following morning to check I was ok which I thought was very kind. I didn't bother switching rooms, I couldn't be bothered with the hassle and disruption to my holiday and after a couple of nights I felt safe. Our room was small and had lots of ants in the bathroom and bedroom. Although clean, the drinking glasses were never changed, the shower floor never cleaned and whether we received flannels or not was hit and miss. There was a lot of choice at breakfast along with a menu to order from which was a nice touch, We also ate lunch everyday at the hotel, there was a variety of dishes to chose from and the food was very good. We had an evening meal the first night and this was also excellent. The staff in the restaurant were a mix. I found the staff at breakfast a bit rude, everything seemed like too much trouble. The lunch and evening staff were the exact opposite, A special mention to Robert and Matteo who couldn't do enough for us. Unless you are up at the crack of dawn and become one of 'those' people who reserve sunbeds then you have absolutely no chance of sitting by the pool. It is a shame the hotel allows this. The hotel constantly ran out of pool towels which was very annoying! People were taking two as they were not big enough to cover the sun loungers which meant there was shortage for other guests, Luckily the beach was pleasant, however, this presented its own issues. When checking in, the lady on reception said we were able to use the inflatable obstacle course in the sea. On the second day a young man swam out to us and told us we had to get off the inflatable and get a wristband from the beach bar to be able to use this. Lots of people were using the inflatable without a wristband. He would occasionally go swimming out to tell people to get off, but most of the time it was full of non hotel residents. May I suggest you simply put up a sign to say "for hotel use only, please get a wristband from the bar!" Same situation with the sun loungers on the beach, they were meant for hotel use only but people at the beach would take them leaving hotel residents with none. The bar at the beach only serves drinks and no food, it isn't always open either. The hotel is just a 10 minute walk to Trogir which is lovely, very lively with lots of shops and restaurants, we went here most evenings, However, there is no proper footpath and the cars go flying down the busy road. I wouldn't want to walk down there with small children or a pushchair. Same situation getting to the beach, no footpath along a very busy road. All in all we had a nice week but it isn't somewhere I would return.

Wow what a stay we’ve had! From the pre- visit communications, to the end of the holiday the staff at Brown Beach House hotel have been nothing short of amazing! They are a credit to the hotel! The hotel has a great style it’s quite colonial. It has a wonderful boutique feel to it. We had a lovely room in the main building the 2nd floor overlooking the sea and the new bridge, it was extremely spacious with a huge bed, separate living area and big bathroom. The hotel pool was lovely, never once had issues with beds and there was a plentiful supply of fresh beach towels. The bar staff were excellent and looked after everyone well. The choice at breakfast was great and excellent quality, which was included in our package (including Champagne!). The spa facilities (and gym) were also included in the stay and was a great help on our last day as we had a late flight and checked out of our room at 10:30am. The hotel was situated 10 minutes from the old town, so the evening stroll was very easy. We had a 7 night stay but it was clear a lot of guests were doing 1 or 2 nights whilst traveling in the region, so I’d recommend it for short and long stays. Overall a wonderful hotel that enhanced our holiday to Trogir.

My friend and I arrived after an early morning flight from Gatwick to be greeted by a glass of bubbly, or in my case two as my friend didnt want any alcohol at that time, and then were charmingly made aware of the layout of the hotel facilities and beach area. My room was absolutely perfect, with a glorious view and comfortable large bed. It was spotless. All the staff, and especially Esther were so helpful, and provided everything we needed with a smile. We walked into Trogir, which was quite difficult but well worth it. Taxi back was easy! We had a wonderful meal in the restaurant centre, which was preferable to the local restaurant. The beach across the road was pebbly but the water looked very inviting. There was a feeling of calmness and efficiency everywhere, rarely found in a hotel, and credit to the Manageress Esther, who had her finger on the pulse all the time. One of the best hotels I have stayed at.
