Brown Beach House

I had a fabulous stay at this lovely small hotel. I had noticed others had mentioned receiving an upgrade but as a single traveller I never get upgraded well not until I stayed here! However I wasn’t told I’d been upgraded so it was an additional lovely surprise. Private terrace with hot tub that was in a perfect location to catch the sun all day. I had chosen this hotel because the pool area looked lovely I never used it. There is a great little private beach area which I did use a few times. Breakfast was excellent in my opinion plenty of fresh fruit and hot food cooked to order. Hotel is in a great location a gentle fifteen minute stroll from Trogir which is a typical Croatian town of tiny winding streets with lots of good places to eat.I wouldn’t hesitate to return here. If I would make one observation I think this hotel would benefit from being adult only

We had a very enjoyable 4 days here. the hotel is very well placed with just a 10 minute stroll to the town. The welcome was very good with a glass of Prosecco on arrival and the staff were excellent - particularly Anna. Our room was clean & comfortable. The pool was lovely with lovely views overlooking the sea. There is some aircraft noise during the day as the planes fly over the pool coming in to land but this was not a problem at all. We didn’t eat at the restaurant apart from breakfast which was a reasonably varied buffet selection and also hot food choice’s to order. The hotel has a very nice feel about it and we would definitely stay again and recommend.

I stayed for five nights with my mother at this hotel earlier this week. Overall, our experience was positive and we had an enjoyable stay. To start with the positives - Brown’s is stylish, comfortable and tastefully furnished throughout. The bedroom was lovely and spacious with a wonderful, comfortable bed, high quality bed linen and a decent bathroom with an excellent shower. Bathroom toiletries were regularly replenished which was another nice touch. The staff in reception were friendly and welcoming and we were made to feel at home as soon as we were greeted with a glass of Prosecco upon arrival. The hotel has lovely views and is only 10 minutes walk from Trogir old town which makes it an ideal location for daily trips into the town and for eating out at night. Unfortunately, the hotel restaurant doesn’t reflect the high standard of the rest of the hotel. We had a lovely meal on the first night, but the standard wasn’t repeated on the second night, when we also experienced another issue which we had to report to reception. We felt the quality of the breakfast was below the calibre of this hotel - notably the cheap, high sugar orange juice and white sliced bread for toast. There were wasps all over the breakfast buffet as the food wasn’t covered. But the biggest issue was the standard of service - staff looked unengaged, miserable, stressed and bored. It was a constant struggle to get the waiter’s attention and we had to keep getting up and asking for things. We also found the non-stop music by the pool a bit off putting when trying to relax. Altogether - a lovely place but the restaurant needs more work to align it to the standard of the rest of the hotel.

Friendly staff, nice rooms (with some a whole lot better than that), quieter than expected. Good restaurant, beautiful pool with plenty of room to relax. Easy walking access to the historic city and restaurant area, as well as to a few beaches.

We had a fantastic stay here, the location is stunning and the room was lovely. All the staff were brilliant but I had to leave a review to extend my thanks to Esther. I left my wallet on the flight and within minutes she is calling her partner (who works at the airport) to try to locate it, which he did. Using personal contacts like this is really above and beyond service and really shows she genuinely cares about the guests. I really felt like this hotel stay was flawless, I hope to be back!
