Gava Waterman Milna Resort

We came here for our daughter's first holiday abroad and were not disappointed. I'd read some reviews about the food from last year and was a little apprehensive but everything we experienced was perfect! The resort itself is within walking distance to Milna where you can get ferry's to Split and nearby islands. Milna is also very pretty with some cafes and shops. We got a car from the rental place on site for a day and explored the island which is easy to navigate and drive around. We had a room which was opposite the restaurant which I suspect was on purpose due to us having a 2 year old with us. It was very spacious, had a fridge which was ideal and the housekeeping team kept it spotless with fresh towels nearly every day. The beds are large and comfortable (all 3 of us slept in ours) and the water pressure from the shower is great. You can get free WiFi across the whole resort which is fast. There were 4 swimming pools dotted around and easy access to the sea. Our daughter loved the little kids pool. There's also a shop on site which is really well priced and has some really nice souvenirs in it. My wife got a massage at the island spa and said it was excellent value for money and she'd definitely recommend it to others. I used the gym which is very well equipped. There's always plenty to do on site and we loved the activities the resort put on for our daughter. She especially loved the mini disco! The food was brilliant! There's a huge range at every meal and they do themed nights throughout the week as well. The service was excellent with staff clearing dirty plates straight away and making sure everything is always topped up. The food itself is really nice and there's loads of it! Snack time and ice cream also went down well with our daughter. The drinks at the bar made the stay even better value for money, especially seen as you can get cocktails! What makes this place very special though is the staff. Everyone is really friendly and took the time to speak to us. From the housekeeping team, the receptionists (especially the kind girl who gave us loads of really good places to get coffee on our excursions), the kitchen and bar staff and the activities team who were so good with our daughter and made her feel very special. This is was really make Gava Waterman a fantastic place to stay. We don't want to leave thanks to everyone who works here and wish you all the best!

Located into a natural calanq it is just amazing! Super food super personnel! Lot of natural walk around. Clean environment. We went during the beginning of the season so it was perfection for us. Calm during the night. You can rent a car or boat from there. So it was to visit around Hvar is also beautiful.

We have had the most amazing time here. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, the food was exceptional and varied but always so much! The bars were great and we took full advantage of afternoon ice cream. The location is beautiful and the spa facilities are great. The staff really made our stay unforgettable- Dani and the restaurant team, the housekeepers looked after our rooms, the reception staff with all their recommendations - especially Andrena (sorry if I misspelled) with all her coffee spots! But especially the animation team- Antea, Robin, Anita and Yury who danced at the disco and put on friendly and relaxed activities. I really can’t fault it and want to thank everyone for an unforgettable stay.

Location beautiful atmosphere good rooms fantastic value good staff great food average amenities poor bars rubbish restaurant seating very poor had to sit outside windy getting bit by mosquitos food luke warm and if your not quick enough to get what you like it gone... bars are rubbish and your sat in a kitchen at night avoiding the mosquitos would keep complainig but still here so more to come

The resort had just opened for the season so was very quiet (which was a good thing!). The facilities were excellent with 3 pools and access to a beach for swimming too. The food was fine, much what you’d expect from an all-inclusive resort. The rooms were a little spartan with not much in the way of soft furnishings but otherwise well equipped. The highlight was the fabulous town of Milna, a 20 minute walk away. The hotel do provide shuttles but at a cost. The walk is lovely. The town has a stunning port and myriad restaurants and bars overlooking the waterfront. We spent many an hour watching the fab boats come and go. There is also a regular ferry service to other islands.
