Gava Waterman Milna Resort

Just back from a fabulous 10day stay. A real little gem of a place .. The staff from the Manager, reception, waiter’s, entertainment staff, cleaners everyone was soo friendly. As was the Jet 2 rep very helpful. The rooms were spotless, bed soo comfy. We asked for a kettle as always like to have a cuppa in morning before going down to breakfast.. that was no problem.. just take a cup milk every day to put in fridge from restaurant. Lots of sun beds around the 3 pools and all way down to the sea. There are kayaks and bodyboards free to use around the little bay. We caught the Ariva bus to Supetar and hired a scooter for couple days and save going back there we were able to leave it with Alena out side reception, you can hire cars from her or boat trips. Lovely little walk down into Milna 30mins, or the bus from hotel is €4 each see reception to book this. Lots of restaurants in the harbour. You can get the catamaran to Split or Hava from there, recommend both. If you hire a vehicle def go to the highest point on the island Vidova gora (looking down onto the famous beach Zlatni Rat near Bol ) then go down into Bol lovely harbour. Just one niggle coming over on the ferry we had to carry our luggage on board up the stairs.. we had the catamaran on way back which was easier. Def book this and just enjoy ☀️

Very lovely resort, very clean rooms, friendly staff, and great customer service. It’s right on the sea front, with stunning views. The water is deep but it has water slides, canoes and docks. Great for those who love ocean swimming and confident older children supervised. There’s also an indoor pool and decent gym, sauna and steam room which my husband used. The bungalow we stayed in was lovely, quiet with a very large comfy bed, a decent sized bathroom, two tvs and a microwave. The cleaning staff come by daily are friendly and kind, you can tell them if you don’t want your room cleaned or if you do. If you are coming with a little one under 3, it’s worth noting it’s €5 a day for a travel cot, the cot is good quality, beddings are clean and they supply a blanket. There was Good entertainment something on every night all though we didn’t get to enjoy it due to our little one. One thing I was worried about, was the reviews about the food, but when we arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The buffet had a decent selection of hot and cold food, and I’m quite a fussy eater. There were themed food nights such as Asian, Croatian, and Mexican. We went with our toddler and the kitchen team would make food specifically for our toddler if we asked. They also have an à la carte available twice a week. All inclusive drinks include soft drinks, wine, beer, and cocktails with local alcohol and you pay more for import alcohol which is understandable. The pool bars were always open bar rainfall, and there was a snack bar in the afternoon. The food team were really friendly and helpful. We went with our little one who loved toddling around however there isn’t much of a flat green space or much toddler entertainment. They have a children’s pool, playground and play room. It was all lovely but could have more for toddlers in terms of play. But my Toddler loved seeing and chasing resort cats lol. Milna is a lovely port town, with lots of yachts and boats, known to the sailing Community but quite secluded, there is a shuttle bus from the hotel to the town and you can get the ferry easily to split, Hvar etc. we did a few day trips. Visit if you want a relaxing and authentic Croatian experience, going with a group of friends where you don’t want to do too much island hopping. Good value for money in my opinion.

We had a wonderful dinner tonight at the restaurant of Gava Waterman Milna Resort! From the moment we walked in, we felt incredibly welcome. The staff were warm, hospitable, and very attentive. Everything looked neat, clean, and well-maintained, allowing you to immediately relax and enjoy your evening at the table. The food was truly outstanding. Every dish was carefully prepared, beautifully presented, and full of flavor, clearly made with passion and craftsmanship. Special compliments to Chef Alex, who had everything perfectly organized and ensures that both the kitchen and the service operate at the highest level. What made the experience even more special was that Big Bad John personally walked around the tables to chat with guests and ask about their dining experience. A very involved and attentive man who genuinely cares about his guests, something you don’t see everywhere anymore. In short: a fantastic evening with delicious food, excellent service, and a warm, personal atmosphere. Highly recommended, and we will definitely come back!

We have just returned from gava waterman resort in brac. The resort was very clean and well maintained. We stayed in a bungalow. It was clean and modern but did not have enough storage, draws, dressing table. The shower was large and water pressure was excellent. The only trouble was the outside patio faced the next bungalow so it was not private and we needed to close curtains all the time so no-one could see in. We had quite a few ants but after informing reception it was dealt with very quickly. There were 4 pools which were exceptionally clean. There was a mix of foods for your taste and was enjoyable. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We went to the al carte meal which was not worth it. The resort is located within forest area and a 35min walk down hill to milna. Which was charming. There's a nice coffee bar with delicious cake half way round the bay. There is a shuttle bus which was 4€ each which could work out expensive. If there are 4 of you it is cheaper to take a local taxi 12€. Hotels we have stayed in before the shuttle was free. If you hire a car they charge 6€ a day to park too. You also would have to pay for the hire of a cot which we feel should also be free. You can get the bus from milna to supatar which has a nice pretty harbour 3.80€, or take the same bus and get off at sutivan 2.80€ . Nice harbour too but not much there. Bus is easy to use but it doesn't run to frequently. The only down fall was we could not island hop. We took the catamaran ferry to Hvar which was well worth a visit. We went on Saturday and there were market stalls at the harbour. We had a trip to Bol which again was a charming harbour. Overall we had a lovely stay the weather for early may was good. If you want a relaxing holiday it will be perfect.

This is the 3rd time weve been to Gava Milna and have booked for next year too. Now lets get real .... If you want 5 star and guaranteed sun for the price you pay then get a grip. If you want somewhere that looks after its guests beyond their job and are the friendliest, kindest people you could ever wish for then this is the place. The place is spotless and the house keepers keep your room incredibly well. The entertainment team work hard to keep you entertained, even if its in the downstairs restaurant in colder weather. John, the new executive chef has made such a change to the food and is a lovely guy. Dani the food and beverage manager is a whirlwind of energy and runs a tight ship. That brings me to Maja ( General Manager ). Nothing is ever too much trouble, if you have an issue just talk to her. The bay is beautiful and the surroundings far better than the cost would suggest.
