Hotel Salona Palace

Lovely experience for destination in split. Beautiful pool and great room. Bar staff were so friendly although the wellness centre female staff member went out of her way to be unhelpful and unfriendly couldn’t take away from the other awesome experiences

We stayed at the hotel for five nights. The good: the room was clean, and the breakfast was excellent. The bad: when we checked in, there were two bottles of hair/body wash, two bottles of hair conditioner, and two bottles of body moisturiser. I would estimate that each bottle was around 10ml. I was travelling with my son, and we did a lot of outdoor activities. The average temperature in Split was around 32°C or higher, so we usually showered after swimming or doing outdoor activities. This meant that we used up the hair/body wash quite quickly. Over the five nights, I believe we used a total of eight to ten bottles of hair/body wash, each around 10ml. We did not use the conditioner or moisturiser, as we had brought our own moisturising cream. Oddly enough, I had to go to reception three times to request refills of the hair/body wash. Sometimes housekeeping did not leave any new bottles, sometimes they left only one bottle, and on one occasion they left five bottles and then no more after that. At first, I thought this might simply have been an oversight by housekeeping. However, after my second visit to reception to ask for more hair/body wash, I began to feel that something was not quite right. On my third visit, I asked directly why this kept happening. The receptionist told me, “Oh yes, we only offer two bottles of hair/body wash per day.” Bear in mind that each bottle is only around 10ml. I explained that if I had known this in advance, I could easily have bought some from a supermarket, as it would not have cost much. However, since my room cost over €150 per night for a standard room, I did not expect to have to ration the hair/body wash. The attitude of the staff felt quite strange to me. In the hospitality industry, guest satisfaction should be important. I was paying over €150 per night for a basic standard room, and all I was asking for was a reasonable top-up of hair/body wash.

good location, friendly stuff, clean, modern, and great breakfast!

Lovely hotel, 20 minutes away from the airport and next to the Roman ruins. We stayed here as a group of friends for a mini break. The hotel is great has spacious room and breakfast. We pretty much had the pool to ourselves and the food at the restaurant was fantastic we enjoyed it so much we had 3 meals here rather than heading out. Split is about 20 minutes in the other direction to the airport. Joe’s beach was great and the shuttle from the hotel takes you. We paid 35 euros for a bed which was a bit steep but the beds was very comfy and we had it morning till close. The beaches are very pebbled so I would recommend beach shoes. Split itself is wonderful so much to see and do we did the underwater museum boat trip afternoon sunset cruise it was amazing. Watch out for the mosquitoes they bite. In all my years on holiday I ve never had so many bites 🙈

Excellent! Staff,rooms and service was ok. Clean and wi-fi excellent. You can enjoy in beautiful view from balcony and i recomend this hotel.
