TUI BLUE Adriatic Beach

A long one ! Check in - like many have already said this was chaotic. After travelling for 12 hours and arriving late at night, we were greeted with a water and a wrist band, then a queue for the room keys. No help with luggage and a rough idea of where the room was. Needless to say it took a while to find. Inside was a sandwich as the restaurant was closed Nice touch but had been sat there for a while….. coach also from airport which is quite a drive had very little air con Room - Our swim up room which we booked and chose the number at a cost was 2008. Probably the best room in the hotel. Room was snug. Bathroom a good size with shower only. Swim up pool itself was one of the best sizes I have stayed in. Albeit a lot of ants around which should really be treated. My main gripe for a room you pay extra for was there was one bottle of water Not in the fridge To me personally if you pay for a swim up which in theory reduces back log at the bars then the minibar should be stocked It wasn’t. If you wanted a mini bar. Then that was extra, which in my opinion isn’t great. Same applies if you want premium alcohol. Then you pay more. Bottled water doesn’t exist. Just glasses of water. We went to the supermarket to purchase these. The views from the rooms are superb and prob what makes the hotel. This being said overall the corridors leading up the rooms are quite bleak and could do with more lighting/refreshing Food. - as buffets go, I thought the food was very good. A good selection and appeared to cater for veggies and gluten free etc alike. Could be quite monotonous and could have perhaps benefited from a live cooking station in the evening. Staff were efficient I would say but not particularly friendly Desserts were excellent. Very very good Cake delivered on my birthday which was a nice touch Ala carte wasn’t good tbh. Underwhelming Entertainment - frankly it was awful. Live singers and that’s it Not our cup of tea. And given the space I think could do a lot more Location. We did a few nice walks. Turn left at the beach from the hotel and walk about half hour passed the nudists and a lovely cove. Walk right and find some nice restaurants and water sports you can pay for. Supermarket left from the hotel entrance about 500 yards Get the TUI blue app. From this you can request a room clean and towels etc. guests were saying unless you do this they won’t come Air con in hotel wasn’t great either. Other than the bedroom We went to Makarska for the day. They do a shuttle from the hotel at 26 euro each way but you were limited to time there. So we got a taxi 40 each way and spent a few hours there Overall a relaxing break but a few tweaks needs to be done

The beautiful views of the deep blue, crystal clear Adriatic and gorgeous sunsets, will be the second best thing that I will remember about staying here. Other good things about the hotel are the cleanliness, the food in the buffet restaurant, the spacious comfortable room, good sized swimming pool, the activities (recommend the silent disco and the cocktail making), the smooth check-in & check-out process and the overall relaxed atmosphere. However, the most memorable thing about our stay, was the friendly and responsive staff. Special mentions to bar staff at Mojito bar - Petra and Dragan, Ana at the Pool bar, Leona at the buffet restaurant and Sanja at reception….. however all the staff were very friendly and were eager to help. Of course, there a drawbacks to any location (the steps, but we were lucky with our room being close to the pool), it is a bit remote and we found that several of our trips were cancelled - two attempts to go to Mostar and one to Biokovo nature park. There are three things that I think the hotel management need to address to get 5 star reviews: 1. Culinarium Restaurant - service slow, food is cold, atmosphere is sterile 2. Live entertainment - the standard is pretty poor and somewhat dated 3. Map from reception to your room…. Complex directions given verbally….. we were not alone in wandering the hotel trying to find our room late at night. Two spa staff leaving for home, saved the day by guiding us to the right building (see earlier comments above about the best thing being the friendly and helpful staff !) Overall, we had a lovely relaxing week away in a beautiful place.

The hotel staff at the all levels is eytremely friendly and accommodating.The food is exelent .We are here for the third time.

Excellent hotel for a pleasant getaway from the daily grind. Located right on the beach, with many places to visit nearby, and the service is superb.

We have just returned from our first visit to this hotel and it exceeded our expectations. The delays and transfer were quickly forgotten once we got to our swim up room. It was better than any we have had at 5 star resorts in the Caribbean! The pool was lovely, never over crowded and the beach and crystal clear sea were breath taking. The food and drinks were faultless with plenty of variety. The sunset views from the Mojito Bar were out of this world. The staff were friendly and attentive but not over bearing. And it’s the first holiday that I didn’t get bitten at all by mosquitoes!! Who knew paradise was such a short flight from the UK?! Will definitely return
