We booked to stay in the annexe with a sea view. we knew there was not a lift and had to use the stairs. There are ten steps up to the entrance to the annexe and forty seven steps to the second floor, so if you struggle with steps the annexe may not be suitable for you. On arrival the receptionist said that help was available to carry our cases up to our room which we did not need. The room was not huge but more than adequate for our needs with a modern bathroom, comfortable beds, 4 power outlets, a hair dryer and air conditioning. Tea, coffee and sugar was made available and a kettle but no milk. There is no fridge in the room so we could not buy and store milk in the room. On one occasion two "pots" of long life milk were left but not on any other day which puzzled us. To provide long life milk would be a low cost embellishment to an otherwise nice room offer. The room also had a safe which was screwed to the wardrobe shelf but anyone with the intent could remove the safe and take the shelf with them, surely the safe should be fixed in a way to prevent its removal. The cleaners were superb and diligent, cheerful and friendly and did a thorough job of servicing the room every day. One thing concerned me was that the main entrance door to the annexe is wedged open day and night so in theory anyone could walk in off of the street. All the staff in the hotel were friendly, polite and efficient. We were half board and the breakfast and dinner offer was good with a wide selection and variety at both breakfast and dinner. On a couple of occasions the food either was not warmed through properly before placing in the serving counters or the serving counters could not keep the food warm. I suspect the former as the base of the dishes in question were "refrigerated". We found the food offer to be generally better than when we ate out, or at least just as good. I did not find or think the hotel was dated in any way. When reviewing I have taken into account that this is a three star hotel, not a five star hotel. Overall we were very pleased and thought it offered excellent value for money and we really enjoyed our stay. There is a bus stop round the corner where you can catch the bus to the Old Town, bars and restaurants within walking distance, and "hidden" in the building diagonally opposite the bus stop a really good supermarket which we found by accident when exploring the area, but I do not think it is advertised or "signposted". The receptionist Ivana was especially friendly and helpful and deserves a particular mention.
Location was very good right near sunset beach with bars restaurants a short walk away. Staff very helpful and friendly from cleaners to reception and the one and only Zoran who was behind the bar kept us entertained and informed throughout. Nice friendly atmosphere throughout. The rooms could do with a little tlc but apart from that would definitely recommend The Hotel Komodore
Great trip and lovely resort plenty of walking around great experience Zoran was a amazing waiter and so friendly nothing was a problem 5* l hope the owners pass the feedback on to him. Thank you
Friendly staff can't do enough for you and the bar waiter zoran 10out of 10
First of all they messed up our rooms. We had a reservation for 65 people and they thought we were 30 people and we spent almost 4 hours trying making a deal with the reception. They seem like they are not trying to help the situation and they ended up calling the manager in order to find a solution. Second the rooms. Very dirty and some things already broken. I can not forget the fact that in some rooms we found bees and other little creatures that are harmful to the people . Last but not least the food. Terrible menu and the worst was that they demanded to pay the water. Unbelievable experience. I am begging all of you not to stay on this!
