Aminess Planet Camping Maravea Resort

We booked one of the mobile homes through easy jet holidays, and unfortunately the pictures do not accurately reflect the accommodation, which is very dated and in desperate need of an update. Our holiday home was in the forest rather than by the sea as pictured about 600 m from the sea. The site is extremely busy and the onsite supermarket is very expensive. It costs 4 euros for a carton of juice. The decking around the homes is tired and broken in places. The bedrooms were so small that you couldn’t open the wardrobe doors. We have three children and one of them was allocated to sleep in the kitchen lounge area. These are not the homes displayed in the photos. The paths were crumbling and trip hazard. The accommodation was not clean and dusty. It was very outdated and the entire kitchen was bright green. The WiFi was very patchy. There are some very good onsite restaurants and a bakery but unfortunately they were quite expensive. It’s quite a long walk into the nearest town about 3 miles to novigrad. And whilst you can catch a tourist train it cost us 12 euros each way which soon adds up. The pillows were lumpy and the shower had no pressure although it was warm. The air conditioning was very noisy and would shake the whole building as it went on and off during the night. The pools are great and there is a lovely baby splash pad bit. However they do charge for sun longers around the main pool.

Our stay at Camping Maravea left us with disappointed feelings. The campsite has many great features, but unfortunately there were also several major issues that are simply not acceptable considering the high prices. The positives:The location is beautiful, and our Comfort Mare pitch was conveniently located close to the beach, restaurant, and playground. The children's pool is well designed with sunshades and comfortable loungers. Unfortunately, the water was far too cold for toddlers, so our child could hardly use it. The saltwater pool by the sea was a great alternative and was always open. The playgrounds are excellent. The outdoor playground has a large sandpit, slides, and climbing equipment for children of all ages. The indoor playground also offers plenty of entertainment, although we were a little concerned about the very young staff and the overall safety concept. There was a wide range of entertainment throughout the day, and the live music in the evenings featured excellent and varied bands. However, many activities came with additional charges. The restaurant offers a generous breakfast buffet for €18 per person, which we found to be good value for money. The negatives:The biggest disappointment was the sanitary facilities. Each sanitary building has only around five showers, which is far too few for the number of guests. We had to queue almost every day, regardless of the time—even late in the evening. The facilities were consistently dirty, with mould in several places, broken fixtures, and many lights not working. Toilet paper was often missing, and the overall condition felt worn down and poorly maintained. Although cleaning staff were present throughout the day, they cleaned around guests, and the facilities never actually felt clean. Signs on some doors even suggested using another sanitary building about 200 metres away, clearly showing that management is aware of the problem without providing a real solution. The dishwashing area only had cold water, which was disappointing. The washing machines and dryers cost €8 each. Despite the information stating that detergent was included, our laundry came out just as dirty as before and had no fresh smell at all. It honestly felt like a complete waste of money. For families with babies or toddlers, it was also frustrating that only one sanitary building had a baby changing station and a baby bath. Depending on your pitch, this meant quite a long walk. On a family-oriented campsite, we would expect these facilities in every sanitary building. Our Comfort Mare pitch was another disappointment. Although we had specifically requested shade when booking, the pitch had almost none. It also wasn't clean when we arrived, with cigarette butts, paper, and other rubbish left behind by previous guests. The pitch included electricity but no water connection. The customer service was equally disappointing. After we had an accident during our holiday, we wanted to leave one week early because of the unexpected financial burden. The manager advised us to send an email explaining the situation. We only received a reply three days later, telling us to contact the campsite directly. Responsibility was passed back and forth, and in the end, nobody helped us. We found this extremely disappointing. Overall:Camping Maravea has a beautiful location, excellent playgrounds, enjoyable entertainment, and a lovely saltwater pool. Unfortunately, these positive aspects are overshadowed by overcrowded and poorly maintained sanitary facilities, disappointing customer service, questionable cleanliness, and prices that are far too high for the quality offered. We will not be returning and, based on our experience, cannot recommend this campsite.

Paid a lot of money for a mobile home, but the stove didn’t work. We couldn’t cook for over a day. We had an appointment to get it repaired, but they came hours early and scared our dogs, twice! When we went to the reception to call this out, they were very impolite and didn’t want to admit mistake in any way. Besides that, you pay for everything on the camping, and then double the normal price, so prepare to pay a ton for normal things when you arrive here, and probably some thing aren’t even working. We are never going here again.

Perfect mobile homes, everything that you need for vacation.

Unfortunately, our experience here did not meet our expectations. We booked a luxury seaside pitch, but upon arrival, we were placed next to the trash bins behind the restaurant. To reach the sea, it was necessary to walk around several other pitches. The pitch had an unpleasant smell and felt more suited for parking than for a luxury seaside stay. We decided to leave immediately. During our short visit, we only saw the reception, parking area, and our assigned pitch, so I cannot comment on other parts of the camp. After that, we had to travel and look quickly for different accommodation. I know, I will never come back there again.
