Excellent hotel with beautiful surroundings but we couldn’t return due to poor understanding of food allergies. Pros -clean, quiet room. Lots of housekeeping staff ensuring clean towels, floors cleaned, beds made daily -plenty of sun loungers even in May half term -indoor, outdoor (salt water, kids and chlorine) and jacuzzi pools so lots of options. -stunning scenary and make sure you walk round the island to see the lighthouse as we always spotted dolphins in this area in the evening -easy, free trips on the boat back to the mainland for excursions and lunch. Rovinj old town is beautiful to explore - good selection of food and we had dinner at 7:30pm when it was a bit quieter Cons -food allergies in the buffet restaurant are very hit and miss. Some are labelled, but a lot are hand written and include no allergies at all. I read a review back in July 2025 stating the same thing, and the hotel replied to say it would be improved. It hasn’t! -speaking to different members of staff, they didn’t know how the fries were cooked and what was included in the hamburgers so I couldn’t rely on their knowledge at all -lunch options in the complex do have allergies listed on the menu but again, are labelled incorrectly. Fortunately I mentioned my allergy to my waiter as I thought I was safe to eat it when I wasn’t! -before June the only lunch options were sandwiches, toasties and pasta. There was one gluten free salad so I had to buy snacks from the mainland for lunch,
Fabulous location surrounded by the turquoise Adriatic sea amongst majestic cedars scots pines and granite rocks. Swimming was spectacular. The restaurants were great with varied healthy choices and the activities such as stretch classes and aqua aerobics were fun. Nearby Rovinj was a pretty pastel coloured harbour with many dining options and a fascinating history. The free guided walking tour was very interesting. There are many shops selling local art jewellery and clothes. Wr loved every minute!
Room 225 6/20 June 2026 Hotel very clean very quite more sunbeds around the pool and among the trees than people .Towels changed daily even though you were asked to use them more than one day. Food was very good but was turned off by quests queueing 15/20 minutes before the restaurants opened it's doors as though there wouldn't be anymore food brought out and replaced. People pilling their plates with food and leaving more than half. Drinks at diner were also included and people were filling their glasses taking a sip and leaving it. The boat was included in the price of the room ( on the hour from the hotel and on the half hour from the mainland ) and managed to get the 8 in the morning to walk around the town when no visitors around. not much to see except the church and it has turned very touristy with holiday tat bars and restaurants. I did enjoy the island being very quite love to go back..
Views of the hotel and the ferry service were sublime, food absolutely awful, dining room like a school hall underground and echoes as no soft furnishing. Stunning location, appalling food!!!
First of all, I would like to say that our stay was truly enjoyable. The hotel itself is beautiful, and our room was simply fabulous, offering breathtaking views of Rovinj. Every morning and evening felt like a special moment, and honestly, I still cannot decide which view I enjoyed more—the peaceful mornings or the magical sunsets. The experience begins even before arrival. A charming boat ride of just 3–4 minutes connects Rovinj with the island, departing from two points in the town. While the service works well, I believe it would be even more convenient if the boat operated every 30 minutes rather than once an hour. Upon arrival, we received a wonderful welcome at reception. Mr. Antonio was exceptionally helpful, professional, and genuinely kind. He made an excellent first impression and set the tone for what became a very pleasant stay. The hotel facilities are excellent. The beach area is beautiful, the pool is inviting, and the overall atmosphere is elegant and relaxing. Equally impressive was the restaurant team. The staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. In particular, I would like to thank Suzanne and Ivana, whose professionalism and warm hospitality contributed greatly to our experience. If I may offer one suggestion for improvement, it would concern the hotel’s suitability for adults seeking a quieter environment. Families with children will undoubtedly love this property, but guests accustomed to adults-only resorts may find the atmosphere less relaxing. During our stay, there were many children running around the restaurant and pool areas, and the noise level was sometimes quite high. Of course, this is not the fault of the hotel itself, but perhaps in the future the creation of an adults-only pavilion or a dedicated quiet zone could make the property even more attractive to couples and guests looking for a more tranquil experience. That said, this is a minor observation in what was otherwise a wonderful stay. The quality of service, the kindness of the staff, the beautiful setting, and the unforgettable views make this a hotel I would happily recommend. My sincere compliments to the entire team for creating such a memorable experience.
