Coral Estate Luxury Resort

The experience began once we had a problem with our flight . It was delayed 48hrs and we couldn’t contact the hotel to tell them we would be delayed. We spent more than 24hr trying to talk to them. They don’t answer whatapp , email and the phone doesn’t ring. I had to hire someone to go there and tell them. How bizarre is that. The hotel has a bad service , and the housekeeping is nasty. The bed sheets are dirty. There is lots of ants, the cleaning are very poorly so the ants are everywhere. Me and my kids got bitten in the bed. They dont clean the floor, so the floor starts to get with sand. There was one day that we arrived at 6pm in the room after spending the whole day at the beach , and they hadn’t done our room yet. The towels , the beds and the room were the same. We called reception and they just sad sorry. So besides all the bad cleaning they didn’t clean our room that day. The employers are not polite and they dont make any effort to help you. In sort , it doesn’t worth it. The only thing is that the snorking is nice in front of the hotel, but there is lots of spots to snorkel around the island. SO IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO COME, FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO STAY

I was very pleasantly surprised by this property and its amenities. First - the water. It is amazingly clear/ blue. Like a swimming pool. The roped area is mostly sand bottom but just beyond the rope is surprisingly good snorkeling with a wide array of tropical fish among the coral formations. We found this area one of the best in that area for snorkeling. Check in was easy - especially since we had to prepay the entire stay - so we got keys and a staff member walked us to our room #640. It was nicely appointed with a small kitchenette area with microwave, decent sized bathroom with open shower (nice) and a HUGE balcony area with seating for 4 that overlooked the water, the pool and the restaurants. Great place to sit and listen to the live music. Restaurants were good and not very expensive for a resort - with a nice selection of fresh seafood items as well as steaks, etc. Curated cocktails were delicious (I recommend the Homemade Gin and Tonic). Only take away was the service in Koral restaurant was really lacking. Like really bad. Service in the seaside Karakter restaurant was good. Great views! Pool area is fine - get there early for a good view. Pool is small but nice with an infinity section that looks out at the ocean. Parking is a bit weird in that it is all in the front of the complex and you can only access it through the front entry area. Coffee shop/Cafe is good - with a decent assortment of drinks as well as pastries. I highly recommend the Dragon Fruit cheesecake. Epic! Overall this place was great. We would definitely return.

Even though it's a resort, you can visit for free. Just show some ID at the main entrance and you can park your car at the hotel. Once inside you can enjoy a delicious apple pie and relax in one of their chairs and loungers with no extra cost. All you have to do is consume something in one of tbe restaurants. My recomendation is the apple pie. You can also enjoy the pool.

Please NOTE: what you see on the website may not be what you get: We booked a week stay at this resort. We paid to stay in the VIP section. Their website show images of beautiful ocean views. However, to our great disappointment, our view from our patio room was not even close to what was pictured. The rooms either have balcony or patio views, but unfortunately only the views from the balcony are shown for the VIP area. If you make your booking based on their images, you will be highly disappointed. You are not allowed to select balcony or terrace when booking. We contacted the resort to ask why no pictures of the view from the patio is shown. We have not received an answer. Their response was that we should have called ahead to express our preference for a balcony view...that being said we certainly would have called to request the balcony view if the patio would have been shown on the website for the VIP area. WE made the assumption that the images were inclusive of all the rooms, whether balcony or terrace because no other images were shown. Additionally, for the other rooms on the property outside of the VIP section, the price of the room is based on the location. However, for this VIP section there was no price difference between the balcony rooms and patio rooms. Additionally, we were told that even if you request an ocean view room you are not guaranteed one upon arrival since they don't exist on the patio level as shown below in the photo taken from our patio. Usually, we stay in the hotel room. But we decided to rent one of the villas. When we got there, it seemed like everything was gonna be amazing. But then we saw the villa… next to a complete construction zone They did not inform us at all that they were going to be construction next door for our entire stay. And let me tell you from 7 AM till 5 PM. There was major construction. Now I don’t blame them in working they were actually quite nice But the resort should’ve definitely let us know that the construction is going on we would’ve chose a different villa or stayed on the resort grounds So I highly recommend asking a bunch of questions
