TIME TO SMILE Chogogo Dive & Beach Resort Curaçao

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Our experience started off poorly the moment we arrived. When we checked in, we told the driver exactly which room we were assigned. He insisted we were wrong and dropped us off at a completely different location. We had to repeatedly tell him it was incorrect before he finally took us to the correct room. Unfortunately, things only got worse from there. The room looked nothing like the photos advertised online. The difference between what is shown and what you actually receive is shocking. The room appeared poorly maintained and honestly felt less welcoming than a jail cell. To make matters worse, there were roaches in the room that scattered every time we entered. The overall presentation and cleanliness were unacceptable, especially considering the price being charged. When we first arrived and noticed the bugs, we immediately went back to the front office to report the issue and ask for assistance. However, no one was there to address our concerns, so we were unable to speak with anyone that night. Because of this, we had no choice but to wait until the next morning to bring the issue to the front desk. That is the only reason we ended up being there for approximately 12 hours after checking in. The most disappointing part of the experience was the customer service the following morning. The receptionist was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional when we tried to explain the situation. Instead of listening or offering help, she responded with a condescending attitude and unnecessary remarks that only made the situation worse. We felt like we were being treated as a nuisance rather than paying guests with legitimate concerns. For what this place charges, you would expect basic courtesy, professionalism, and respect when raising an issue. That was not our experience at all. When we decided to leave, even though this was originally supposed to be a week long birthday stay, we were met with pushback and snide remarks when requesting documentation confirming our early departure. The room conditions were unacceptable and the customer service was even worse. Even after bringing these issues to their attention, the resort has not acknowledged how poorly we were treated. All we wanted was to leave and receive the proper paperwork confirming it, yet even that simple request was made unnecessarily difficult by the front desk staff. I am extremely disappointed that this is how our trip had to begin. I strongly encourage management to review this situation and contact us to resolve it properly. Between the condition of the room and the unprofessional behavior from the front desk staff, this experience was completely unacceptable.

Nice place, park is very well maintained. Very nice rooms and holiday homes. Older rooms are a bit less but the new ones very nice. Loved the balcony with hammock. Close to beach and AH. Very nice pools too. Friendly staff. By the newer part there is another pool which is more quiet.

PROS Renting a vehicle at the resort is properly organised, vehicles are alright and the process is smooth. Bus tickets and beach towels are easy to obtain and/or change. CONS The exterior of the properties and the gardens at the resort are well maintained. The accommodations themselves are poorly maintained - furniture and/or facilities are either broken, worn out or missing. Housekeeping rushes into your accommodation even outside of the scheduled time for cleaning. Upon departure, they disturbingly knock on your door prior to the latest check-out time and annoyingly wait behind the door for you to hurry up and leave earlier.

Everything a disappointment! The vila was not what we had booked so we had to move after two days. No internet, no phone no tv for two days, poorly equipped kitchen. Terrible lighting in the bathrooms. Never again… The only positive is the restaurant

Paradise.....Next the Jan Tiel Bay beach and resort, Chogogo is everything you can dream for a luxury resort. Great bungalows, well equipped, spacious, high end furniture and great beds and pillows. Fantastic.
