I live in Hurghada and have stayed at the hotel inc Christmas several times. I went for day use. I was warmly greeting by the security and police , they know me from my previous stays. My FRIEND who is English but has Egyptian parent, has a UK passport and was born and educated in the UK and was on holiday in Hurghada ,wanted to come and make day use with me. I asked the reception ( a white haired older man) who was very sharp/ rude with me and told me not allowed, only I could have day use! There is a stigma ((and I know because I was GR / QC Manager for exclusive hotels in Egypt.The stigma is a European woman with an Egyptian guy.MY CASE WAS NOT THIS! My friend is a FRIEND, he is like my Son, he was born and went to university in the UK! I was left standing at reception feeling embarrassed and made to feel like a dirty woman who was having a rendezvous with a man!!!!! WE WENT TO ARABIA ARABELLA AND WERE MADE VERY WELCOME FOR DAY USE!!!!!!!!
