Gut hotel anf und Animation best

Honestly it's not bad However there were many activities and everyone who worked there was respectful but unfortunately the activities were only for foreigners meaning we didn't participate in them except to watch in the theater

To start with, we booked through Thomas Cook, but we ended up being the only English family at the hotel. So the hotel was dated but the rooms were huge and clean, beds comfortable and towels changed everyday. We paid for garden view rooms but were upgraded on arrival to lagoon view which was lovely. A/C was brilliant and safe was free. The hotel is massive so quite a long walk to get to the reception/bar/dining area if you are staying around the lagoons. The corridors are hot and sweaty as no a/c. Facilities Pool fantastic, clean and not too cold. Pool bars acceptable, although no waiter service unless you tipped. You did get massage/photo man coming round several times a day. Beach area lovely, slightly stony walking into sea so beach shoes recommended. Sunbeds- you will need to be up early to reserve. Beds around the lagoons have been reserved bt 6am- usually by the ground floor rooms. Beach beds and pool beds usually by 7am. Pool towels provided though. Food- unfortunately not great. restaurant divided into four separate eating areas which made it a bit disjointed. Breakfast- only scrambled/fried eggs or omelettes made fresh- rest was just continental. Lunch- we only ate at the end of the marina, fresh made pizzas lovely (not many toppings though)- salads, chips and fish (with bones/head/tail) or chicken somedays. Dinner- not great, always a bit of a mish mash, no fresh veggies, no chips- seemed to be aimed more at the German palate. Bars- alcoholic drinks that were included in AI were not great (weak) but you could pay more for branded if you chose. Bar staff in reception bar (Hosny and Waled) exceptional in their service, so lovely and friendly, and drinks were more acceptable when they made them. entertainment- the entertainment staff seemed to think they were celebrities, and strutted round all day. the only one who actually took time to speak to us was Abbie (children's entertainer) who went out of her way to talk to us (as we were English). For instance, we were hassled to play darts one day, when we finally succumbed and went to the darts area, we were completely ignored by the German players, and the entertainments staff member was too busy flirting with the Japanese female guests. Cleaners/gardeners- constantly on the go and so friendly (make sure they get tipped well) Beach/sea- lovely calm swimming conditions, and further up the lagoon, the snorkelling was excellent- even in standing up depths. We weren't being picked up at the end of our stay until 7pm, so I asked the reception whether we could keep a room on- I was told they were fully booked and had no courtesy room for us to use. But they suggested the outdoor showers by poolside. I then looked on the hotels own website, which said they had rooms available for that night. I questioned the receptionist who suddenly found that one of our rooms would be available at a £50 charge. Outside the hotel- Once you left the grounds, chaos ensued. The area was dirty, busy and we were constantly hassled by the local shopkeepers. The Red Sea bazaar shop opposite was fantastic- no hassle, polite and lots of choice- dodge handbags, clothing and souvenirs and good prices. The local area outside the hotel is not one that you can take a leisurely evening walk. Taxis were erratic- you could negotiate a price before you got in, but varied from driver to driver. The actual driving was horrendous and very frightening. The marina- another world- clean, lovely restaurants , bars and shops. Millionaires yachts and no hassling. Only 30 mins walk from hotel. id like to emphasise that the Egyptians seem to think that the Brits are millionaires, and will try their luck. For instance, on one tour we were quoted £70 for photo package, whereas germans were quoted £50 for the same. On another tour they tried to charge us £90 for photo package, but we ended up paying only £25. Unfortunately I would not return to Egypt in the future as this was not a good experience, after saving a whole year to pay for the holiday.

I've been coming to Arabia Azur Resort for almost 20 years, and there is one reason I keep returning: the people. The staff here are simply outstanding. Whether it's housekeeping, reception, the main restaurant team, beach bar staff, wellness center employees, or the towel attendants, everyone goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. Their kindness, friendliness, and genuine care are what make every stay so special. The other standout feature is the resort itself. The beaches and lagoons are among the best in Hurghada, offering beautiful views, great swimming, and a relaxing atmosphere that keeps bringing me back year after year. While facilities can always be updated over time, the combination of these amazing beaches and the incredible staff makes this resort feel like a true 5-star experience.
