My husband and I just spent a week at the Arabia Azur Resort, and honestly? We survived, we tanned, and we gained at least two kilos in resort pastries. If you are looking for a place where the Red Sea is stunning, the fish are friendlier than some of the guests, and your husband can accidentally become the undisputed champion of the pool towel reservation olympics—this is your spot. Slight detour from the hotel review, but I honestly have to share this! If you are planning any excursions in Hurghada, do yourself a favor and look up Sheriff Egypt online—they are super easy to find by name. Their prices are significantly lower than what the hotel guides try to charge for the exact same trips. We booked a few tours with them and had an amazing experience. I especially recommend their Cairo trip in a small group of up to eight people, accompanied by an individual guide who gave us so much personal attention. The mega safari was also an absolute blast! All their guides speak English fluently and make the whole experience smooth and fun. Highly recommend booking with them! The Good Stuff. The Location & Sea: Absolutely breathtaking. Every single room has a sea view, which is fantastic because you wake up, look out the window, and immediately realize you are on vacation. The hotel has its own protected lagoon and coral reef right off the shore. We spent hours snorkeling with fish that looked like they belonged in a Disney movie. The Food: Plentiful, varied, and dangerously accessible. My husband developed a severe addiction to the Egyptian pastry station, while I tried to maintain my dignity and eat salad. Spoiler: the pastries won. The main buffet can get a bit chaotic—think of it as a gentle, polite rugby scrum for the last grilled kofta—but nobody ever starved. The Vibe: It has a nice, lively resort feel without being overwhelmingly loud. Perfect for couples who want to alternate between relaxing on a lounger and pretending they are active by playing one game of beach volleyball. The Quirky & Humorous Reality. The Towel Warfare: Look, you haven't truly tested your marriage until you’ve sent your husband on a pre-dawn stealth mission at 6:30 AM to secure two sunbeds by the pool. He returned looking like a victorious hunter bringing home a mammoth, wrapped in two yellow towels. Respect. The Room & Architecture: The hotel has a distinct, charming 90s Mediterranean-Nubian vibe. Our room was spacious and clean, though the bathroom plumbing had a mind of its own. Every time I took a shower, it sounded like a tiny, enthusiastic whale was trying to escape the pipes. The Staff: Warm, hardworking, and perpetually amused by tourists trying to speak Arabic after two days of sunshine. Shoutout to the bartender at the beach bar who figured out my husband’s exact cocktail ratio by day two and started pouring it before we even reached the counter. Final Verdict. Arabia Azur is not a hyper-luxurious, ultra-modern Instagram paradise—and that’s precisely why we loved it. It’s authentic, incredibly welcoming, and offers unbeatable value for money. We came home with glowing skin, sandy flip-flops, and a renewed appreciation for each other’s patience during buffet hours. Would we go back? Absolutely. Just as soon as my husband recovers from his grueling towel-placement duties.

Fantastic location, beautiful coral reef on our private beach better than anything in the Med. Right there on your doorstep amazing. Great food, which was really important for me. The snorkel was world class, 29c sea temp, 31.4 pool temp beautiful. We played alot of pool tables are high class in a very nice room. Nice AC everywhere, nice pool and a bar in the small pool, great facilities. Staff we friendly and didn't bother us for tips or excursions etc. Talking to other guests of other hotels our food was better. Not a single mosquito bite, I went 12th June 2026. Met 2 very nice taxi drivers agreed a price and they stuck to it gladly. Short trip for us to the marina €5. You can just use euros here even change. Not the most modern hotel but the facilities and food more than make up for it. Very relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend. I'll be back.
