Bella Vista

Just had 2 weeks at Bella vista, hotel was very basic and dated but clean, food was nice tho being there for 2 weeks got repetitive but you would never go hungry, all drinks hot and cold were served in paper cups, never struggled to get sun loungers by the pool or on the beach but the loungers were not comfortable, big shout out to Roma who did the excursions he was amazing wasn’t pushy and went out of his way to speak to you, I found the shows in the evening wasn’t very good at all and only a small stage and area so not much for them to work with but the animation team mingled in location was good out side the front is the main shopping strip but you couldn’t enjoy the walk as you just get hassled, all the staff work really hard and we’re all very freindly and polite, however there is the man who goes around asking if you wanted massages etc who was from day 1 very pushy, for 5 days he hassled us but because we refused he was very rude and told us we were ignorant and arrogant and that English people are rich but too tight to spend money, he even kicked off very rudely and aggressively when I was having some beauty treatment done, I felt very intimidated by this, so chose to ignore him for the rest of our holiday but he just seemed to be staring from a distance and made a point of walking near our sun beds quite a few guests we spoke to also said that they felt uncomfortable around him, there is kettle etc in your rooms but no cups or mugs so take a travel mug as they only offer paper cups.

It was amazing vacation, great hotel and people. Food is great, sea is beautiful. On our last day we met some funy guy name Buda, he is half Egyptian and half Egyptian

We just got back from a week at the Bella Vista Resort, and honestly? My skin is glowing, my husband has gained three pounds strictly from the pastry counter, and we survived a week of trying to look graceful while getting out of the pool loungers. Here is the real, unfiltered scoop on our couples' getaway! 📍 Location & Vibe (8/10) The hotel is right in the heart of the Sakkala district, which means you are literally steps away from shops, pharmacies, and locals enthusiastically asking if you want to buy a camel or a genuine "Egyptian Rolex." Stepping outside is an adventure in itself. The resort itself, though, feels like a nice little pocket of calm once you get past the gates. It’s compact, cozy, and you never have to walk more than two minutes to get to the beach or the bar. Perfect for lazy vacationers like us who consider walking to the buffet as our daily cardio. We also want to give a huge shoutout to Sheriff Egypt for organizing our excursions! Their prices are noticeably lower than what the hotel guides try to charge. We booked two trips through them and couldn't be happier: a small-group trip to Cairo (under 8 people) with a personal guide, and a boat trip to Orange Bay (Hula Hula Island). The yacht was brand new, and all the guides spoke fluent, excellent English. Highly recommend! 🛏️ The Room (7/10) We booked a standard room. It wasn’t the Ritz-Carlton, but hey, we didn’t come to Egypt to stare at the wallpaper! The bed was surprisingly comfortable—big enough that my husband and I didn’t accidentally elbow each other in our sleep, which is already a five-star win. Everything was clean, the air conditioning worked like a little arctic beast (absolute lifesaver), and the housekeeping guy folded our towels into a swan that looked suspiciously like a deformed duck. We named him Igor, and he guarded the TV remote all week. 🌊 Beach & Pool (9/10) This is where we spent 90% of our time. The private beach is lovely, with calm water and a nice little lagoon area. Pro-tip for couples: If you want a front-row sun lounger with a proper umbrella, you either need to wake up at the ungodly hour of 6:30 AM to "claim your territory" with a towel, or play the awkward game of wandering around looking lost until a pool boy takes pity on you and magically finds an extra chair for a tip. The water was warm, crystal clear, and full of little fish that didn't seem to care that I was wearing a very unglamorous neon snorkel mask. 🍽️ Food & Drinks (7/10) Ah, the All-Inclusive culinary journey. The food was actually quite decent—there was always chicken, rice, fresh veggies, and a pasta station. The Husband Factor: My husband treated the dessert table like it was a personal challenge. By day three, he was sampling cakes that all tasted vaguely of "sweet sugar foam," but he ate them with fierce determination anyway. The Drinks: Standard resort pours. The beer comes in small plastic cups, which means you either make friends with the bartender so they give you two at a time, or you accept that your daily step count includes walking to the bar every 15 minutes. The bartenders are super friendly and love a good joke, especially if you tip them a single dollar with a smile. ✨ The Verdict. Is Bella Vista a ultra-luxury 5-star palace? Absolutely not. But it’s charming, wonderfully located, clean, and has an incredible soul. We laughed a lot, got a fantastic tan, and didn't have to cook or wash a single dish for seven days. If you want a solid, budget-friendly beach vacation without any pretentious nonsense, pack your bags and give it a go. Just hide the pastries from your husband before heading home!

I always give an honest review. We’re currently still out here at the hotel. It not the worst hotel but it definitely has more negatives than positives in my opinion. I’m here with my husband and 15 year old daughter. When we arrived we was a bit over whelmed. The hotel is literally on Sheraton street, which is fine but when I say busy I mean busy! Crossing a road you are risking your life. As you may already know about Egypt you will get pestered all the way when walking. The shopping up Sheraton Street is good. There is McDonald’s and kfc on the strip. I can honestly say I do feel safe walking down this street. The hotel, this is a lovely hotel. There is entertainment through the day and there is always something on at night. This starts at 9pm. We haven’t benefited from all inclusive really as we feel the food is awful. Unfortunately this is the biggest negative along with the drinks. Food and drinks are not good. We haven’t benefited being here a week and I cannot get her to eat anything but chips. There are other options, there is the Caribbean bar which serves food and drinks but you have to pay, And you have an Italian here but again you do have to pay. With the Italian you get one visit included in your all inclusive package which I thought was good. The pool is nice, looks a bit scummy at times and I have not seen it be checked or anything but this isn’t to say it’s not being done. The only members of staff that I can say have been friendly is the cleaner, the bell boy and one of the waiters behind the reception bar other than them you are lucky if you get a hello! Room we was disappointed in. We paid £400 extra for our room and it’s got 3 single beds! We got talking to a family and they said there room is huge with a king size bed and a single and they didn’t pay anything extra so that is a bit gutting. We are living out of our suit cases because there is no where to put our clothes. We had 4 hangers and 2 draws! The sunbed situation isn’t to bad. I get up at half 5 so usually go down to the pool with the towels but this is because I like to lay and gather my thoughts like a weirdo and read. I can’t sit up in the room when I am awake. Yes there were a few towels down on beds which I believe had been there all night but there was still lots of empty beds at 7.30. You still have to get up early though to get them especially if you have a big family. My husband did get sick and had bad stomach but to be honest most people do here, Egypt is known for this. We don’t know if this is from the restaurant or not. He was the only one that was eating in there. There are lots of excursions to do, all reasonable priced. Would I come back here to Bella Vista is the question, the answer is no I am having a lovely time but for me it’s not a 4 star it is more 2/3 star.
