Hotel Mercure Hurghada

Our stay was absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. The hotel offers a relaxing atmosphere, excellent facilities, beautiful location and a team that genuinely cares about guest satisfaction. What impressed us most was the exceptional hospitality provided by the staff. I would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Mr. Hisham, Mr. Sherif, Mr. Omar, and Mr. Mahmoud at Reception, who always welcomed us with a smile and were incredibly professional and helpful throughout our stay. A special thanks as well to Mr. Hassan, Mr. Abdelhamid, and Mr. Mohamed Salah from the Bar team for their excellent service, friendliness, and attention to detail. I would also like to recognize Mr. Ahmed Idris from Room Service for his efficiency and dedication. The level of care and hospitality we experienced made our visit truly special. Thank you to the entire Mercure Hurghada team for creating such a memorable stay. We highly recommend this hotel and cannot wait to return.

Such an amazing hotel where it has the best beach and great staff I enjoyed every night I spent

We had a wonderful stay at Mercure from check-in to check-out. The hospitality and service were outstanding, and every staff member made us feel welcome. Special thanks to Mr. Hisham for his support throughout our stay, as well as Omar, Mahmoud, and Sherif at the front desk. Thanks also to Hassan, Mohamed Salah, and Abdelhamed for their excellent service at the bar. A very special thank you to Ahmed Edris from Room Service for his exceptional care, professionalism, and attention to every detail.

Not geared toward British travelers – Cut our 14-day stay short If you are a British traveler thinking of booking here, I would honestly recommend looking elsewhere. This resort simply wasn’t for us, to the point where we cut our 14-day booking short after just 6 days and left for Luxor to rescue our holiday. We were made to feel like second class guests!! **The Downsides:** * **The Rooms & AC:** The rooms feel very dated and tired, though they were relatively clean. However, the air conditioning unit was incredibly loud—you’ll need earplugs to drown out the constant, heavy humming. * **Service & Atmosphere:** The staff were barely reactive and only engaged if we asked for something, often coming across with an attitude. We repeatedly noticed a massive disparity in service, with some guests being waited on while others were completely ignored. There was also a constant shortage of proper glassware, meaning drinks were frequently served in paper cups. * **The Food:** The catering is heavily geared toward local and Eastern European tastes, with very little variety for British palates. We also noticed food being recycled; for example, kofta on the evening BBQ would reappear inside bread rolls the following day and finding the empty packet of frozen sea bass on the beach gave us the chills for the fish section. It was also look warm at best. **The Silver Linings:** To be fair, the resort isn't without its merits. The beach is beautiful and very well managed, and the grounds themselves are lovely and well-kept. Most importantly, the absolute best part of our stay was our **amazing housekeeper**. They did a fantastic, flawless job every single day and were a total credit to the hotel.

I would like to say a big thank you to all the hotel staff for my wonderful holiday in 2025 and for their kindness to guests. My first stay at Mercure Hurghada was in 2010. Since then, I have always come back to this hotel, and I have already stayed there 5 times. My holidays in 2024 and 2025 were amazing. Last year I stayed for 20 days in a very spacious and comfortable room with a beautiful view. I am very thankful for Room 2212 in the Cancer-Crab building. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet, and had a home-like atmosphere. I love the beautiful hotel area, the clean and comfortable beach, and the fact that it is easy to find a free sunbed. I like the overall impression you get when staying there — the beautiful design of the bungalows. The sea was so nice, warm, and clear. The restaurant is very good. The food is tasty, the choice of dishes is enough to make a nice meal, and the service is excellent. There is a very positive vibe in the hotel from morning till evening. The Animation Team works very well. Everything is made for a good and relaxing holiday. However, I believe everyone can choose to relax or to have a more active stay. I will come back to Mercure Hurghada at the end of June 2026 for 23 days. It will be my 6th visit in June-July. I am really looking forward to my summer holiday, and I hope to stay again in Room 2212 in the Cancer-Crab building. ☺️ Looking forward to visiting this place again.
