JAZ Makadi Aquaviva

Our family of four adults and one child stayed at Jaz Aquaviva from 29 July to 7 August 2026, and we had a truly memorable experience. Arrival, Booking & Check‑In We booked our holiday through TUI, and the rooms allocated were interconnecting, which was perfect for our family setup. Before travelling, I contacted the front office to request that one of our rooms be upgraded to a swim‑up, since we had already booked one swim‑up room in advance. I was quoted the upgrade price and paid for it on arrival. We arrived around 12:30am and were welcomed warmly by the front office team. Check‑in was smooth, and we were allocated the two swim‑up rooms (2041 & 2043). The swim‑up pools were lovely and had sunshine until around 6:30 PM, which we really enjoyed. Rooms The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with large beds and sofa beds. Our cleaner, Mustafa, kept everything spotless throughout our stay — always cheerful, hardworking, and attentive. A special touch: on our daughter’s 11th birthday, he created a beautiful towel birthday display in the room, which made her feel very special. Birthday Celebration at Felfela Restaurant When we arrived, the Guest Relations desk was closed, but the TUI representative assisted us the next morning and helped us book the Felfela à la carte restaurant for our daughter’s birthday meal. The meal was very tasty, and the restaurant staff went above and beyond — the table was beautifully decorated for her birthday, and they surprised her with a birthday cake, candles, and singing “Happy Birthday”. She was extremely happy, and we truly appreciated their effort. Pools & Waterpark The resort has 3–4 main pools, all well‑maintained with excellent pool staff who work tirelessly. The waterpark was a highlight for both kids and adults — safe, fun, and full of variety. We loved every moment there. Food & Restaurants The buffet restaurant offered a good selection daily, and the staff were exceptional — constantly clearing tables, smiling, and ready to help. Special thanks to Khaled , Mustafa, and Ibrahim in the restaurant for their kindness. The barbecue section was enjoyable, though adding lamb or beef options would make it even better. The pizza and pasta station was consistently good, and the fresh bread was lovely. At the Liquid Bar, Kareem was outstanding — he remembered our drinks every day and always served with a smile. One suggestion: improve the music playlist around the resort for a more lively atmosphere. Hotel Taxi Service We used the hotel taxi service twice to visit Sheraton Road and Senzo Mall. The prices were reasonable and affordable, and both drivers were courteous, professional, and friendly. The rides were safe, comfortable, and punctual, which made travelling outside the resort easy and stress‑free. Health & Assistance Three days into the holiday, three members of our group experienced diarrhoea. The front office team were very helpful — they assisted us in contacting a pharmacy, and the medications were delivered directly to the hotel. Thankfully, the treatment worked well for everyone, and we were able to continue enjoying the rest of our stay. Gifts & Departure At the end of our stay, we received Jaz tote gift bags with some lovely items inside — a thoughtful gesture that we really appreciated. Unfortunately, in the process of checking out, we accidentally left the tote bags behind in the room. It would have been a nice keepsake to remember our holiday, but the gesture itself was still very kind. Minibar Policy The only downside was the minibar snacks being chargeable in an all‑inclusive resort. This was surprising, as most all‑inclusive hotels include these items. Entertainment The White Party and Pink Pool Party were fantastic — great dancers, synchronized performances, and fire shows. The entertainment team truly put in effort to create memorable nights. Guest Relations & Management A huge thank you to Makram (TUI REP) and Ali Hamed Assistant Front Office Manager). Their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to assist made our stay even better. Trips & Activities We booked four excursions with TUI — quad biking, Luxor, Sun City, and the aquarium. All were well‑organised and enjoyable for both adults and children. Overall Experience Jaz Aquaviva is a clean, vibrant, family‑friendly resort with hardworking staff who are an asset to the hotel. Despite a few challenges, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would happily return. Thank you for having us — we hope to visit again.

After eight visits to this hotel, including a two-year gap since our last stay, it was noticeable that some things had changed, both positively and negatively. This remains a fantastic family hotel that I cannot recommend highly enough. Anyone looking for accommodation in this part of Egypt should certainly consider staying here. As always, the food was plentiful and maintained a very high standard. Special credit should go to whoever is responsible for purchasing, as the quality and freshness of the produce throughout our stay was excellent. The public areas and gardens looked beautiful and were exceptionally well maintained. The staff work tirelessly from early morning until late at night to keep the grounds looking immaculate, and their efforts are clearly reflected in the overall appearance of the resort. The pools and water parks were equally impressive. They were constantly being cleaned and maintained, while the lifeguards did an outstanding job, remaining attentive and professional at all times. The entertainment area has seen significant investment since our previous visit, including the addition of a proper stage for performances and a large bouncy castle that proved hugely popular with the children. The one major disappointment was the reduction in bar and poolside service staff. Compared with our previous visits, it appeared that staffing levels had been significantly reduced. As a result, waiting times at the bars regularly reached 10 to 15 minutes, and even when table or poolside service was available, drinks often took around 15 minutes to arrive. The staff themselves worked extremely hard and remained friendly and professional throughout, so this was clearly not a performance issue but simply a consequence of insufficient staffing levels. Addressing this would significantly enhance the overall guest experience.

The staff were so polite respectful and friendly. Happy to help with anything and a delight to be around. Water park was amazing the kids loved it and the lifeguards were very friendly especially Hassan and Eslam. The only improvement would be the WiFi as this was awful.

Loved the hotel, staff, service, food and overall experience. I would highly recommend this for a family holiday. There is lots to do in the hotel and having a waterpark on the doorstep was fantastic.
