JAZ Makadi Aquaviva

Fabulous holiday at Jaz Aquaviva. Family of 5, 3 adults 2 children (9&7). We started for 11 nights over Easter and had a wonderful holiday. The hotel is beautifully kept & the staff are super friendly everyone said hello. Checkin was super smooth and didn’t take long. We requested 2 ground floor rooms which we got. Only small complaint I had was that our rooms were above the man pool snack bar so we weren’t able to sit on the Terence and move between rooms. (Completely understand that it was considered a ground floor room due to accessibility of the front door. I did mention to the management and they were prepared to move us. Room was very pleasant, cleaned everyday and to a good standard - beds were comfortable. Mini bar in rooms you have to pay for. Each room is provided with 2 glass bottles of water which is free - if you require more ask. Hotel is sustainable throughout hence the glass bottles - good to see Jaz supporting the environment. Pool; main pool where all the entertainment takes place - we only went here for the pink party (which was great fun). From our room it felt like a different hotel. Quite pool - no music but really close to Aqua park. Aqua Park - BRILLIANT!! Lifeguards all super friendly and had lots of fun with the kids. Lots of space and different places you can sit depending on your likes. Adult only pool- infinity pool - super chilled only had a look but looked very relaxed vibe. And super comfy sunbeds. Plenty of Sunbeds. They do request you don’t claim sun loungers I saw notes left which said towels would be removed after an hour. Food and drink: I’m a fussy eater and eat well during the 11 nights. A selection of cocktails available. We stuck with the main restaurant but you can book into others. Beach: is a short bus ride away 5mins we only went for a walk one morning but I would have been happy to spend longer there. Shuttle bus runs every 30mins. Overall a fabulous holiday. Would definitely recommend. This hotel definitely exceeded expectation

There are positive things, but there are also many negatives

Fantastic hotel they day I checked in the head chef came to me as I’m gluten free said if I wanted anything to let him know all food is labelled fantastic food, clean hotel fantastic staff kids loved the water park and the games in the main pool.. first time to Egypt will definitely be back and to this hotel.. did trips to orange bay and quad biking in the Sahara desert well worth it beautiful place

This hotel is in a great location, not too far from the airport or marina. It has a Shuttle bus to the beach free of charge, all throughout the day and then to sister hotels if you go to an Al a carte restaurant. We were impressed on arrival, hotel is very clean and fancy! Staff were very polite and went out their way to help always. Rooms were spotless! Loved the daily towel animals in our room. The pools and water park are amazing! We barely saw the kids all holiday! only for Sun cream top-up and food as they were that busy. Just a heads up it is very slippery! Water shoes are a good idea. Entertainment was great! Always something going on day and night. There is a good variety of food. Desserts were the best bit. The drinks/cocktails could be better, you would order the same drink and It be completely different every time, but it wasn’t a big deal it was like a lucky dip. Overall great value for money we would definitely return.

Wow! What a holiday. From the moment we arrived I knew this was going to be a fantastic holiday. From the moment checked in we were made to feel so welcome. The hotel is immaculately clean and the food was really really good as my waistline is now showing. Absolutely nothing was to much trouble. The pool and facilities, especially the water Park are top notch with plenty of activities to keep you entertained. The pink pool parties were great fun. But... What really sets this place apart is the staff. Every single one of them. A special mention to Mohammed from the terrace bar for looking after us so well. We felt like VIP's every single time. Also to David from the animation team. Such fun and would not hesitate to come back. See you soon from the couch potatos haha!
