JAZ Makadi Saraya Resort

My 5th stay at the Makadi Bay resort and my 4th at the Jaz Saraya. I Love It so much !!! The wonderful staff that are always so helpful and polite, with great jokes too. The Animation team, that are extremely talented and work really hard to produce exciting shows and fun games for all ages. The amazing food, my favourite is the lamb, compliments to my omelete chef also. My room was spotless everyday !!! The resort is immaculate and well maintained. I'll be back again soon already looking at flights

Although a beautiful hotel with amazing grounds and staff, this is no more than a 3* star. All inclusive should include everything - mini bar extra cost, fresh juice extra cost - only one à la carte visit. The staff are what makes this hotel - Ahmed and Ali in the upstairs restaurant were fantastic. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable.

I chose this hotel because of the reviews, hype, and the reputation of Jaz Hotel Group. This was our first visit and stay in a Jaz Hotel Group property, but it was a real disappointment regarding the food and drinks handling and quality. We experienced one morning a so-called "chef" drop a fork on the floor, pick it up, and put it back into the food as if nothing had happened. I informed the restaurant manager, and he said he would sort it out. The food is very bland, tasteless; meats are fatty, chewy, and chicken is chopped into unrecognizable pieces, which makes it look horrible and disgusting. All the "boiled" vegetables are half raw, even if they are in a stew or inside any other dishes. The bread/pastry The section is massive, but miraculously, no matter how different they look, they all taste the same. I felt very let down to have paid a massive amount of money to only be able to eat rice and chips. "Juices" are like squash water, soft drinks from machines which never taste the same. There is no bottled mineral water in the room, only filtered water and nothing else included in your all-inclusive package from the minibar, just this filtered water. However, the area is beautiful, the gardeners must be the best, the pool was nice and heated, and the staff was very helpful at the reception whenever we needed anything. But all together, definitely not worth this value for the money and felt very disappointed about this

This was a great hotel and we loved our weeks stay. The hotel was perfect for what we wanted and NYE was amazing. 1: The food was good all inclusive food, we didnt use the other restaurants as the main restaurant was fine for us. The snack bars around the pool were also great. Breakfast was typical AI some random things thrown in but pancakes toast cereal etc. 2: There was a section of the main pool heated and the baby pool was. Im not sure about the quiet pool people were swimming in it I just have a loud child so we didnt use it 😆 3: The rooms were big and clean the bathroom had shower gel shampoo. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom. Tea/coffee in room and a mini fridge. This is charged in Euros. The water was free. The pool towels were exchanged each evening by somebody knocking on the door. 4: The beach was 5 mins away and was nice there is an all inclusive down there plus camel rides etc. 5: There is a bus that takes you to the waterpark free that's also all inclusive. This was a mix of heated and non heated pools. My son loved it. Overall this was a great break loads of effort in the NYE celebrations we have booked to come again this year. The weather was lovely and warm it was chilly at night just needed a jacket. I was never asked to leave a review bury the hotel, only on external trips so they didnt get one. The daytime entertainment was great and all the staff were lovely. A big shout out to the front security guard he was always so lovely and chatty.
