We had an amazing stay at Meraki Resort and would definitely recommend it. The hotel itself is beautiful, with stunning blue sea, lovely beaches, great pools, and plenty of sunbeds. We never had to fight for a sunbed at any time of the day, and they were all spread out nicely so you still had your own space rather than being crammed together. The food was excellent throughout our stay. The main buffet had a great variety, and for lunch there were burger, pizza, and noodle restaurants, all of which were fantastic. In the evenings, you can book the themed restaurants, and we really enjoyed both the Egyptian and Asian restaurants. We spent most of our time at the beach by the pizza bar, and the staff there were absolutely amazing – so friendly, welcoming, and always working hard. We upgraded to a Gypster Room, which I would definitely recommend. It was modern, comfortable, and worth the extra cost. The only downside was that the music from the club could be quite loud at night, and it woke us up a few times. If you’re a light sleeper, I’d definitely recommend bringing earplugs. On the other hand, the cleaner for our block was outstanding and genuinely made our day every day with his friendliness and the fantastic job he did. The hotel has lots of thoughtful touches that made our stay even better. Fresh towels were available every day using the towel card system, and you can request a red flag to place on your sunbed if you don’t want people approaching you to sell excursions or spa treatments, which was a brilliant idea. The Wi-Fi was also excellent everywhere we used it. On our final day, after checking out, we asked if there was somewhere we could shower before heading to the airport. Instead of just offering a shower room, the hotel gave us a room to freshen up in, which we really appreciated and was a fantastic end to our stay. One thing that really stood out was how incredibly hard all of the staff work. Whether it was the cleaners, bar staff, chefs, gardeners, or maintenance team, everyone was constantly working long hours to keep the resort running smoothly. They all deserve recognition, and I would absolutely recommend tipping them if you can because they genuinely earn it. The resort is advertised as a party hotel, but don’t let that put you off if you’re looking for a more relaxing holiday. We weren’t there for the party atmosphere at all, and it was easy to avoid. There is a dedicated party pool, but there is also a quieter pool and peaceful beach areas, so you can easily tailor your holiday to the experience you want. The hotel is a little out of the way, so in our opinion you would need to get a taxi if you want to explore outside the resort. We personally wouldn’t have felt comfortable walking around the area on our own, especially after dark, so taxis were the best option whenever we wanted to leave the hotel. We also felt extremely safe throughout our stay. Security was excellent, and every time you left or returned to the resort, staff checked your room number, which gave us extra peace of mind. Overall, Meraki Resort exceeded our expectations. Beautiful surroundings, crystal-clear blue sea, fantastic food, excellent facilities, outstanding staff, and great security made it a holiday to remember. Aside from the nighttime music, which is worth bearing in mind if you’re a light sleeper, we honestly couldn’t fault our stay and would happily return.
