Meraki Resort

Meraki Resort, staff are amazing, food amazing, resort beautiful. Disappointed that it’s not all inclusive- only local drinks or pay extra, entertainment not hitting the mark for all clientele. There is opportunity to have a singer, chilled vibe of an evening next to pool/reception but the entertainment is currently aimed at only the ‘clubbers’ - if you don’t like trance/heavy house this is probably not for you. There is also a surcharge on Saturdays and Sundays for the entertainment if you wanted to go. We were in a Merakulous room at first but got moved on day 3 as it was sooo dark and gloomy. The staff were fantastic and supportive in getting us moved, we got the impression this was a common occurrence due to the darkness of the rooms. It’s not somewhere we’d return to but thats based only on the lack of entertainment for guests other than ‘clubbers’. We think there will be changes as so many were moaning about the lack of variety.

Writing this review on behalf of my brother Stevie! Just back from 10 nights in this hotel! I was in Room 4202, sea view, Merakilous room. It was a bit dull but this is all inline with the Boho theme which is fine, the bathroom follows the same theme but a great room, apart from the size of the TV for the size of the room, the beds were very comfy and the room was also spotless and cleaned every day and that's what I like. The pools and beach were superb the only thing wrong with the sea was that there was alot of jellyfish but they are harmless and don't sting so nothing to worry about. A special shout out to Mohammed and Ahmed at the pool next to the main buffet restaurant, they couldn't do enough for you, great lads, always looked after and never an empty glass lol. This is my 3rd time in Hurghada and the alcohol was the best i've had, they are local drinks but decent. The buffet restaurant, noodle bar, pizzeria and Egyptian restaurant were brilliant but the Happy Grillmore burgers are the best I've tasted in my life EVER The only downside was we paid £52 each for the fresh fish restaurant and it was a disappointment as the food was overcooked but that still wasn't a problem as Sherif the manager of the complex came down the beach to see me to ask about the fish restaurant and gave me 100% off and gave me a free meal in the Egyptian restaurant which was very much appreciated and Sherif is the way managers should be in hotels of this standard, hes a great guy and an asset to this hotel. Me and my friend will defo return next year 100%

We loved this hotel - great snorkelling location - great party atmosphere and beautiful food and a cool vibe ! Lots of choice of food ! Relaxing beaches and great vibes around the main pool / lots of great people watching and burger bulevard was excellent for good / and this bar made the best espresso martinis - if I would say the hotel could improve on anything it would be the quality of cocktails they chuck them together and this lets down the bar experience a 1 nice cocktail makes up for 5 bad ones ! When we arrived the gave us 2 single beds but as a married couple they gave us the option to upgrade to the “live it up suite” and this was a beautiful room with a hot tub ! It was such a fantastic room thanks to the hotel reception staff that were really helpful in sorting this we paid an additional £100 but it was worth every penny I also used the scuba dive team based at the resort and they were super professional and the scuba diving experiences were amazing I completed my advanced skills with them ! The hotel also arranged golf and taxi for my husband when I dived ! We travel a lot around the world and I gotta be honest meraki offer some of the best customer experience and they really care that you have the best holiday I wouldn’t hesitate to urge you to book this hotel for such a fun week even if you are single - the vibe and the welcome we awesome and people were so friendly and up for a good time ! You will make friends in a heart beat! Adding more seating at the night shows - with no secondary charged would of made a huge different to the customer comfort level I didn’t always want to pay to sit to watch the show this should be available within the price I paid when booking / more seating should be provided without the additional charge but the meraki team does lots of great services and the are hell of a team ! Just returned our second visit and it was super. The resort is very beautiful and well kept and has a great atmosphere. The beach is absolutely amazing and has enough sunbeds. The food in the main restaurant was delicious. Everything was fresh and everyone could find something for themselves. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would like to give a special mention to Raed from from main restaurant and thank you Mohamed from lobby bar for good cocktails. Only negative thing was that music was extremely loud and music was distorted due to the base being too loud.

Great location for snorkeling. They have old and new rooms, so make sure to book a good one. They're great at problem-solving, so don't hesitate to ask them for anything. My only concern was the cleanliness of the rooms and bedsheets. The head chef Mahmoud can make the impossible possible, so make sure to talk to him about any special requests. They have quiet areas and loud ones so you can have peace or party according to your mood.
