Minamark Beach Resort

If you are booking please be aware that this hotel is very much catered towards Russian clientele especially the food. I am not overly fussy but unless it was pasta I really struggled to find something I liked. I love fish but it was just steamed it was ok but nothing special. Deserts were ok, baklava was nice. Rooms are very very basic. When we arrived we were told we had free upgrade, result I thought but no it was overlooking the main road in Hurghada where it is wacky races, beeping constantly and cross over if u don’t value your life. There are no traffic lights do can’t even wait for traffic to flow. 2nd room we got shown after a very unhappy receptionist moaned that he had upgraded us stunk of smoke so that was a no. 3rd yes dated but ok had a balcony on the main walkway yes u can have that for $80. I just paid it as I couldn’t be bothered arguing. Pool is very small with not many sun beds but the beach is a minute walk with lots of beds and most people seemed to go there of a morning so always got a bed by the pool. Drinks and snacks. NO wine, very limited cocktails and all drinks served in small plastic cups. Only 1 staff member on at a time who were nice enough but do they work long hours. Snacks -forget it they don’t have any. I asked reception thinking I may have missed where they were to be told 3 meals a day, no snacks and no ice cream unless u pay for it. Spa was good, had a decent massage but not cheap. Beware that you are bombarded daily by vendors for spa, trips, juice/cocktails etc Outside- get a thick skin, walk on and don’t even say maybe later, the shop staff have memories Like an elephant and they don’t let u forget it. Staff- Ahmed the baggage guy was so lovely and helpful and appreciative when given the time of day. Restaurant staff were fine, you only get juice for all meals but if you ask for a Coke they will get it for you. Reception staff - sour faced not sure if it was only towards English but apart from 1 female who worked on reception who did try to be helpful. What I would say is that the wage they get is a pittance 300egyptian dollars a month and they work 35 days straight before they get a day off so please tip them they do deserve it. Check out- be prepared for a fight. Wristbands are cut off at 12 and told u can’t use facilities or have any drinks even water. With a late 11pm flight this did not go down well and I argued the toss with the manager who eventually relented allowing us until 4pm for drinks and use of facilities although I did stay by pool for extra hour and nothing was said.

The hotel and people that work here are amazing, there is show’s every night, we had such a good time. The food is so good. Every recommendation for Minamark 🫶🏻

Hotel is very good, nice people and everyday we had amazing show's, dancing, sports and a lot of things. I recomended this hotel! Also really nice food.

Hotel is amazing, the room is clean, the restaurant is fab, great food, with loads of space, the service is great in all areas of the hotel , the entertainment was great as well, loved the foam party, and the spinning 🤗man, lovely hotel

I have been to this hotel with my family for several times. We are always very satisfied here, especially the food and service never disappoint us. Chef Amr is the best in our opinion. The choice of dishes is not repeated, there are daily specials for both lunch and dinner. Fresh pastries, fragrant and fresh dishes straight from the grill.
