We really loved this hotel! My son is seven and loved the waterpark area. There are about a dozen large slides plus a sloping wave pool. In front of the waterpark is a large tiled area with lots of sunbeds plus a snack bar area open from 12-5 serving pizza, burgers, salads etc and ice cream. There are also toilets here which were cleaned regularly. This makes it a great spot to hang out for the day with kids. The slides were open for six hours in total (10-1 and 3-6) which is longer than other waterparks I've been to, plus all the slides were open during this time rather than being like some parks that rotate which slides are open. There was occasionally a few minutes wait for the more popular slides but mostly no queues at all and always plenty of mats/rings available. The wave machine was on at regular intervals throughout the day for thirty minutes at a time. There's a separate shallow pool/splash park area for little ones on the other side which means they are safe from being knocked over by older kids running around. There are lifeguards all around the waterpark and they were really attentive - I witnessed one jump straight into one of the slide landing pools on one occasion because they thought a child was struggling - he was fine but it was reassuring to see how alert and responsive they were. The highlight for us in the waterpark was Waleed. He was an absolute star looking after everyone in the sunbed area and nothing was too much trouble. He was so polite and helpful, always on hand to find sunbeds, assist with carrying things and help with any queries. Best of all I didn't even have to blow up my son's pool inflatables: as soon as he saw me getting them out he came over and took them off to be inflated for us. Twice we accidentally forgot items in the waterpark area and both times they were safely handed in and we were able to get them back from the lost property desk the next day which was much appreciated. There's a shop in the waterpark selling pool toys, masks and snorkels but it was very expensive so beware of this and either haggle or go to the one in the main hotel shopping area which was much cheaper. The main pool is lovely with lots of sunbeds and its own bar and snack area, all surrounded by green lawns, palm trees and beautiful flowered shrubs. Food was great - we mainly went to the main buffet restaurant but there are some interesting a la carte options as well and you get a certain number of free visits during your stay. There were never any queues in the main restaurant and always lots of choice. The hotel as a whole had a really chilled vibe and did not feel crowded at all. There were always plenty of sunbeds in both pool areas and lots of space. The beach is ten minutes walk through the sister hotel which is very pretty but there is also a shuttle bus every fifteen minutes if you don't want to walk. Our room was fine, water pressure/temperature in the shower did dip a bit in the early evening when everyone came in from the pool but no other issues and we had a lovely view from the balcony. The housekeeping guy was lovely making towel animals for my son and keeping our room beautifully clean. The team on reception were also really helpful. There was entertainment at the terrace area by the main building most nights which was pretty loud so be aware of this if booking a pool view room. The entertainment team were really good and there was a variety of fun activities including a colour party, foam parties, kids olympics and various mini-parades as well as the evening shows. There is an arcade/game room with some really good VR machines although you have to pay for these (approx £5 a turn for the VR). There is also a fairground area in the middle of the hotel and you get 16 tickets for free rides here between 7pm-8pm. After 8pm you have to pay but we found 16 tickets was plenty for a week. Overall we really loved this hotel. It's big enough to have lots for kids to do but feels really safe and friendly with one large central area that makes it easy to find your way around. It isn't crowded/chaotic and easy to get lost in like some of the big waterpark hotels. I would definitely recommend this for families with kids of primary school age and below (older kids might find the slides and rides a bit too tame) and would book again.
We’ve just returned from a fantastic holiday at Serenity Alma Heights and had an absolutely lovely time. The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained, with lovely gardens and a welcoming atmosphere throughout. Our room was spotless on arrival and was cleaned and restocked with all the essentials every day, which was greatly appreciated. Everything was well looked after, making our stay comfortable. This is an ideal hotel for families, with plenty to keep everyone entertained. The daytime entertainment and animation team were excellent, offering a great variety of activities and creating a fun, friendly atmosphere around the resort. A special mention must go to Julia, who was outstanding throughout our stay. She was always cheerful, approachable, and took the time to interact with families. Her recommendations for places to visit outside the hotel were incredibly helpful and really enhanced our holiday. She is a real credit to the team and was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our stay. The evening entertainment in the main theatre was enjoyable and well organised. If anything, we would have loved it to continue a little longer. Overall, we had a lovely holiday and would definitely go back to Serenity Alma Heights. We would highly recommend.
We had an amazing stay at Serenity Alma Heights. The hotel staff did everything so that we would have the most perfect luxury stay. The food was extremely diverse and delicious. The rooms were crystal clean. But I was most impressed with the animation team, particularly Adela and Julia who went above and beyond to make sure we had top tier entertainment every day. Adela was responsible for morning stretching and evening Yoga, while Julia took up organizing Darts and other games for us. Overall a 10/10.
We had a great stay at Serenity Alma Heights. The rooms were clean and spaceous. Every day there was an abundance of food; so many options to choose from and a great variation in cuisine. Furthermore I would like to highlight the animation team. Every day they organized many different activities and we had a great connection with them. Therefore the atmosphere was great in the hotel.
Excellent hotel we had a recently refu rbisheroom which was great . Beds comfy and room stocked daily with drinks . Hotel is large and very set up for families. Waterpark and fun fair . Food good great choice at all meal times . Would definitely return again . d
