Steigenberger Aqua Magic

I was very pleased to stay in Steigenburger aqua magic in Hurghada. From my first contact with Mr Mina Madhat at check in counter. The way he helped me to check in, reduce my price, gave me good offer and with a smile. I will definitely recommend all ages to stay here. Animation meals beach and restaurant plus room was very good experience.

We stayed at Steigenberger Aqua Magic for a week as a family - 6 adults and 2 children, one a 4 month old baby and have to say was not disappointed. This review is our own opinion of the hotel. Hotel - beautifully clean and welcoming from the minute we stepped through the door, even staff at the toilet and restaurant doors offering hand sanitizer. Concierge very helpful as were the reception staff, nothing was too much bother for them, a slight hitch with the rooms initally but was sorted out in no time whatsoever. Our rooms were perfectly adequate for the week, 2 on the ground floor and one on the 3rd floor with a view overlooking the lazy river. Atmosphere in the hotel building was friendly and very family orientated. Staff - can't fault the staff one little bit, each member of staff polite, helpful and friendly, all very good with the children, never ignoring them, in fact giving them special attention! Must give special mention to Ahmed and the manager of the Magic Palappa (sorry forget his name) as they went over and above for us, especially when my daughter became ill in the restaurant, swiftly arranging for her to be taken to the medic and always asking how she was whenever we saw them. Food - usual type of food in the main restaurant, but found if you ate early, quality was better. However, Magic Palappa, was just magic! We had breakfast there everyday, and usually lunch, the quality of food was fantastic, very tasty and a varied menu. We also ate at a couple of restaurants outwith the complex and found them to be so good (especially the Thai restaurant!). Good quality, tasty food at very reasonable prices. Cocktails at the hotel were superb, especially the Strawberry Ginger which was fast becoming a favorite of ours, however if having a vodka and tonic, the mixers did tend to be a bit flat, but in that heat can't expect much else. Facilities - we used a lot of the facilities, the pools and flumes were great not too busy and no long queues to get on, everything was well maintained and very clean. 4 of us went for massage in the Spa, which was very relaxing and again, good value for money. The boys played golf twice and had great fun, I went to the gym and although small and very hot, it was well equipped, I even had it to myself on one occasion! The entertainment at night was however very loud and not to our liking, but that is a very minor thing, the playpark for kids was however a bit hit! Overall we had a fantastic week's holiday even although 4 of our party did have upset stomachs but a trip to the pharmacy (and the medic!) sorted them out and didn't spoil our week, this is not unusual for being in a foreign country with different foods etc. Would we return to the Steigenberger Aqua Magic, yes we would as a family, perhaps not as a couple as it is designed for families. The location from the airport is just right after a long flight and despite being so close there was very little aircraft noise. Our first time in Egypt and not our last as there is so much to see and do, we only scratched the surface with a trip to Luxor and a boat trip to Orange Bay with snorkeling - great fun!
