I stayed at the Steigenberger with my eldest daughter for a week just before she graduated from university. It was our chance to spend some quality dad-and-daughter time together before she starts the next exciting chapter of her life, and I honestly couldn’t have picked a better place to do it. This was our first visit, and from the moment we arrived until the moment we reluctantly left, everything was simply outstanding. In fact, I’d go as far as saying it was a 12/10 holiday. The management deserve enormous credit because this hotel is run to perfection. You can tell they genuinely care about every guest’s experience. Every member of staff, regardless of their role, made us feel welcome. Reception, housekeeping, the gym team, restaurant staff, beach attendants, bar staff, gardeners—every single person greeted us with a smile and seemed genuinely happy to help. It’s rare to experience such consistently exceptional service throughout an entire resort. Our room was beautiful, spotless and incredibly comfortable. Every morning I’d sit on the balcony with a coffee, watching the sun rise over the Red Sea, thinking, life really doesn’t get much better than this. The food… wow! Every restaurant had its own character, the quality was exceptional and there was so much choice that we were genuinely excited about every meal. Breakfast was an event in itself, with an incredible selection of fresh food and pastries that should honestly come with a health warning! Every evening there was something to enjoy. Whether it was the live entertainment on stage or sitting outside with a drink listening to the saxophonist playing smooth jazz under the stars, the atmosphere was just perfect. It was relaxed, elegant and exactly what a holiday should feel like. Now for my only complaint… This hotel made me put on weight! 😂 The restaurants were too good, the desserts were too tempting and those breakfast pastries should probably be illegal. I came home fat, fat, fat—and I’d happily do it all over again! The greatest compliment I can give this hotel is this: we’d only been home for a month before I booked again. That’s something I’ve never done before. In fact, by the time you’re reading this, I’ll probably already be packing because on 18th August I’m bringing my other two daughters to experience everything this incredible resort has to offer. That says more than any review ever could. To everyone at the Steigenberger, thank you for giving us memories we’ll never forget. You turned a special father-and-daughter trip into one we’ll talk about for years. See you very soon… and maybe save me a few of those pastries! ❤️

It was an incredible vacation at the Steigenberger Hotel! Everything was excellent: the service, the atmosphere, the food, and the overall organization. A huge thank you to the entertainment team for making every day full of smiles, energy, and great memories! A very special thanks to Kirill. He truly left a lasting impression on me with his charisma, kindness, and sincerity. He always knew how to lift everyone’s spirits, create a warm atmosphere, and make the vacation even more enjoyable. I will definitely come back again and will happily recommend this hotel to all my friends and family! ❤️

I was blown away at first, the premises are beautiful and green, service great and food looked so good. However, by the end of the trip I, my partner and a few other guests we met became severely ill and got stomach problems that lasted from the first day until the very last. I have stayed in many hotels in Egypt over the years and i have never experienced this level of nausea and sickness. The food tasted bland, so it wasn’t so bad i couldn’t eat most of it during my stay… Once we were settled for a few days, service on the beach became scarce, waiters ignored you or just didn’t bring whatever it is you wanted. There is no pharmacy on the premises, so it was especially hard to treat our stomachs since you had to go through the clinic which isn’t covered by insurance. They also pretty much ignored us in all the à la carte restaurants nearing the end of our stay. I expected so much more from a hotel that is considered a luxury resort and is pricier than any other i’ve been to where i did not experience the same things.

The most unfair and poorly managed hotel I have ever experienced. The management is extremely disappointing, and Manuel is completely unprofessional and incompetent. Instead of resolving guests’ concerns, he tries to hide the hotel’s problems rather than address them.

We stayed at Steigenberger Resort Ras Soma as a large family group of 11 people to celebrate our son’s 10th birthday. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a special and memorable family holiday turned into one of the most unpleasant hotel experiences we have ever had. On July 23, I slipped and fell on a wet staircase at the hotel. In the area where I was walking, I did not see any warning sign indicating that the stairs were wet. As a result of the fall, I was injured and my personal belongings were also damaged. Following the incident, hotel representatives stated that a “Wet Floor” warning sign had been placed in the area. During discussions about the incident, it was also suggested that the sign may possibly have been moved by the wind. For me, this is a particularly important point: if a warning sign was indeed placed there but could be moved by the wind in such a way that guests could no longer see it before entering the wet staircase, then an obvious question arises — how effective were the safety measures taken by the hotel? If there is a possibility that the wind can move a safety warning sign, then, in my opinion, the hotel should ensure that such signs are securely positioned or introduce additional safety measures so that guests cannot access wet and slippery stairs without an adequate warning. Later, in its official response, the hotel stated that all safety procedures had been fully followed because, in addition to the warning sign, housekeeping staff were allegedly present in the area. However, this does not change the most important fact from my perspective as the guest directly involved in the incident: I encountered a wet staircase and did not see any effective warning of the danger before I fell. What disappointed me even more was the way the hotel handled the situation afterward. The hotel conducted its own internal investigation and concluded that it had committed no violation. Our request for compensation was rejected. The hotel also refused to provide us directly with the CCTV footage, stating that the recording had been preserved and could only be released through the appropriate legal procedures to competent authorities or other authorized parties. The hotel also claims that I declined further direct discussions with management and chose to communicate through our travel agency. However, this explanation leaves out important context: after such a serious and upsetting incident, I had already lost confidence in the way the hotel was handling the matter. For that reason, I preferred all further communication to be conducted formally and documented through our travel representative. Following my formal complaint, the General Manager of Steigenberger Resort Ras Soma, Manuel Guardia, personally sent me an official response stating that the hotel accepts no liability for the accident, my injuries, or the damage to my personal property. He also confirmed that the hotel would not accommodate our request for compensation. I am publishing this review because future guests deserve to know not only what happened, but also how the hotel and its management respond when a guest raises a serious safety concern. We chose this resort for an important family celebration and spent a significant amount of money to bring our entire family together. I expected a completely different level of care and responsibility from a hotel carrying the Steigenberger name. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Steigenberger Resort Ras Soma. I strongly advise any guest who experiences a safety-related incident at this hotel to document everything immediately: take photographs, obtain witness details, keep all medical documents and receipts, and submit all complaints and claims exclusively in writing.
