Sunrise Garden Beach

We stayed at Sunrise garden in August for 10 nights. positives: the hotel is kept immaculately clean. The cleaning staff and gardeners work tirelessly keeping the hotel looking incredible The bar staff at the pool and lobby are so hardworking and friendly. They really are a credit to the hotel. Special mention to Mohammed (lobby) and Gamal (quiet pool) who were amazing to our family during our stay. We spent most of our time at the quiet pool as the main pool with the slides does get a bit manic and our youngest is just learning to swim, but I must say, the lifeguards were excellent (a bit whistle happy with the jumping in and ball games but it is clearly signposted) and we felt a lot safer with the kids in this area. Pool boys couldn’t help enough securing sunbeds but we were fortunate enough to secure our own beds between 7.00-8.00 as a few of our family are early risers. There were a few sunbeds still available up until 8.30-9.00 À la carte restaurants - having a choice of different cuisines really helped break up the monotonous buffet dining. The Mexican and Mongolian were definitely our favourites. Mamalouk Palace - having access to the hotel next door was a nice touch. It really is like having two holidays as you can go and spend a few days over there for a different experience. Negatives: we were put in a top floor room in block 3 despite having a baby and pram. There are no lifts in this block Ice creams - a little bit naughty in my opinion that the hotel charge for branded ice creams. Wherever we have stayed before this has never been the case. Especially as the ice cream provided in the buffet restaurant is more of a sorbet and not particularly tasty. Italian restaurant - it’s currently under renovation so they are sharing the Egyptian restaurant on alternative days. Trying to book it was a nightmare and in the end we had to go to customer relations to get a booking. Our first request with customer relations we were told they would not book it on our behalf and to get on the booking website between 6.00am - 8.00am to book ourselves. We tried that 3 times with no success. In the end they did book for us as we lost patience. Lack of toilets - there just seems to be a lack of toilet facilities close to restaurants and pool bars Playground - no lights in the evening for children to use Two more thing to be mindful about, and this is no fault of the hotel or its staff at all, is that this is an international hotel. As a British family, it always blows our mind that other guests have such a severe lack of manners. So do expect that people will push in queues, refuse to take turns on the pool/table tennis tables and be very ignorant and rude to staff and other guests. Take some sort of mediation for upset stomach/diarrhoea. Of our family of 11 we all had an upset stomach at least one day of our 10, some suffered a little bit more than others. Overall the hotel is great. Clean and tidy. Al la carte is a great touch. Avoid buffet restaurant between 8.30-9.30 and 7.30-8.30 as it’s absolutely chaotic.

This place is highly underrated and the pictures do not do it justice! This is a fantastic 5* experience and I would recommend it to anyone who was planning a trip to Hurghada. LOCATION: The hotel is equipped to the point you don't need to leave, it has everything on site which is appreciated because it is quite daunting when leaving the hotel as you get hassled by taxi drivers and other sellers we tried to go for a little walk and turned back because it was just too annoying. One taxi driver in particular shouted abuse at my husband all because we didn’t want to get in a taxi. We did however visit the senzo mall, ideal for a change of scenery but I wouldn’t go again as I say everything is in the hotel complex anyway. FOOD/DRINK: Amazing! Honestly the food was out of this world, you have so many different restaurants you can visit of an evening and the standards were just top tier, we never had a bad meal in the week we were there! And struggled to choose a favourite restaurant because they were all equally perfect. The drinks were fantastic, the staff work tirelessly and put so much effort in with extra touches, we had the best cocktails, mocktails and iced coffees we’ve ever experienced. For our anniversary the restaurant sang to us and brought out a cake! It was an incredible touch and really made the day special. Entertainment: there is always something going on, we went as a couple so we didn’t really get involved as we wanted a relaxing holiday but there was fruit festivals and pool games in the daytime etc which were very popular. Night entertainment was great too but it does get very busy!! They have something going on each night but there’s also quieter settings such as a live singer on the terrace if you don’t want to go to the bigger events. The sunrise party was magnificent! So much effort and energy goes into it with food stalls and fireworks it was really a wow factor. Rooms- our rooms were cleaned daily with gorgeous towel art the cleaners go above and beyond often see them collecting fresh petals for the beds etc. beautiful touch! Sun loungers: we never had an issue, there was always a space and we didn’t have to wake up early to reserve on either! You can choose from the beach or one of the many pools. We enjoyed the quiet area with a pool and swim up bar, and managed to get our beds every day without any issues or early wake up. The pool boy also is on hand to get you parasols and tables if you request them. We would 100% return to this hotel you have the use of the sister hotel also, it feels like one big complex. The staff can’t do enough for you and work ridiculously hard so a little tip is appreciated by them we would always tip as it was highly deserved. The resort is large and has a truly beautiful garden with lots of flowers. We really enjoyed having a wide selection of à la carte restaurants to choose from, and we can especially recommend the Italian, the Egyptian and the Mongolian Barbecue restaurants. The service was also good, and we really appreciated the heated pools. The mocktails served in the reception area in the evening are also highly recommended. Unfortunately, the main problem was our room. We had booked a junior suite with two separate rooms – a living area (also with beds) and a bedroom. Unfortunately, in the bedroom there was only a connecting door separating our room from the neighbouring room, and we could hear the guests next door extremely clearly. We could even hear them snoring at night, which meant that my son slept very badly. There should be a proper soundproof wall between rooms, not just a door separating you from complete strangers in the room next door. There was unfortunately also a lot of noise because the floor and rooms directly above us were being renovated throughout the day. On some days, the construction work continued until 8 p.m. There was also hammering and banging outside on the pathway next to our block for an entire day, starting early in the morning. This meant that we could not relax in our suite during the daytime either. We called reception three or four times and also spoke to management about the problem. Each time, the noise would stop for a short while, only to start again shortly afterwards. This is simply not acceptable when you are on holiday, especially when you have paid for a suite. The windows in our rooms were also extremely dirty from construction dust, to the point where we could barely see through them. In my opinion, guests should not be accommodated in rooms directly underneath rooms that are undergoing renovation. If the hotel nevertheless chooses to accommodate guests there, they should be informed in advance and offered a significant reduction in the price – or at the very least compensation when they have complained repeatedly about the disturbance. Most importantly, the hotel should do everything possible to move guests to another room when they have been disturbed so many times. We were never offered another room or an upgrade. Because peace, quiet and a good night's sleep are essential parts of a relaxing holiday, I could easily have given the hotel only one star because of this experience. However, I have chosen to give three stars because the resort itself has many other very good qualities.

I had a wonderful stay at Sunrise Garden Beach Resort. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The rooms were comfortable, the food at the restaurants was delicious with a good variety, and the beach was amazing. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout the whole stay. The animation team was also great and made the holiday even more fun with different activities and entertainment. Everything was organized well, and the atmosphere of the resort was relaxing and enjoyable. I really enjoyed my holiday here and would definitely recommend Sunrise Garden Beach Resort to anyone looking for a great vacation. I would happily come back again! ❤️

This hotel is absolutely amazing, the food was brilliant and different every day, the bar service is amazing and fast and the drinks were tasty, the rooms were bug and clean and fresh
