TUI BLUE Crystal Bay

This hotel is amazing and truly felt like a home away from home. It was spotless throughout, and the food was very varied with excellent quality. The à la carte restaurants were fantastic, and it was great that they were unlimited during our stay. Our room was bigger than we expected, which was a lovely surprise. However, there were signs of damage, and the sliding door was quite dirty. We want to say a big special thank you to all the animation team. Momo, Jess & Ivy really took the time to get to know us and they made us feel very welcome. There were quite a few salespeople around the pool area, but the hotel provided red flags to place by your sunbed if you didn’t want to be approached, which was a thoughtful touch. We’ll definitely be revisiting in the future.

Just returned from a week's getaway at Crystal bay. Overall a nice relaxing week away with family. The resort grounds are kept immaculate, the lawns in particular are amazing pristine! The main buffet was clean, and had a good choice of food, albeit a bit repetitive after a few days. There was always plenty of seating in the main buffet, and a waiter was always nearby ready to take a drinks order or clear your plates. Yades restaurant is a lovely setting for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Waiter again, were attentive and food service was always quick. The egyptian restaurant was great too, again, lovely setting down by the sea, comfy seating, nice atmosphere. Not ideal if you are or are with picky eaters, but nice to sample local cuisine. The Mediterranean restaurant was pleasant, staff were great, but lacked atmosphere i feel compared to the other restaurants available on the resort. Evening entertainment was average, a singer most evenings on the terrace or a bit of a dance act. Nothing to write home about, but nothing to complain about either. Drinks choice was plentiful, both soft and alcoholic. Best cocktails are to be had at the main hotel bar/terrace bar. Only sunbathed on beach one day out of the week, as we found the sand very gritty/stoney, lots of jelly fish in the water and on the sand, though we were informed they dont sting, the life guard even handle one to prove the point - but our children didnt like the feel of brushing against one in the water, so we stayed by the pool the rest of the week. The pools are really nice. They were lovely and warm, very clean and life guards were always present. Plentiful sunbeds and ample shade to be had too! We stayed in a junior suite with sea view (261). Room was a great size, the children had two large single beds, tv and a dressing table in their space. The bedroom had a double bed, two dressing tables, bedside tables, tv and patio doors to a decent sized balcony with 180' views of sea/bay. There was a separate walk in wardrobe with ample storage for us all. The bathroom was huge, double sink, bath, large walk in shower and separate w/c. The room was in good condition, albeit a bit rough around the edges (paintwork, tiling etc). There were no lamps or bedside wall lights in the room at all. So it was either bright ceiling lights or no lights at all. Not great when wanting to read at night or have soft lighting for children near bedtime. There wasn't any means of drying swimming costumes etc, the balcony would benefit for a drying rack attached to the wall, there is plenty of space for it. Also, the chairs on the balcony are very uncomfortable, definitely use the scatter cushions from the bed to cushion your back! Mini fridges in rooms are well stocked and replenished everyday, which is great for pre evening/post evening drinks. Cleaners come each day to replenish towels, tidy beds, empty bins, quick sweep of floors etc. Although on the surface the room was adequately clean, on closer inspection (I work in house keeping, so take particular note) the room needed more attention to detail. The furniture has glass tops, which i wiped over with a wipe (i always do this wherever I go) which was rather dirty when I had finished. Remote controls for tv dirty and sticky. Light switches had weeks of dirty on them. Glass work in bathroom and mirrors in bedrooms had not been cleaned properly/ if at all as there were hand marks on them still from previous guests. The tea/coffee tray had coffee granuals all over. Overall we had a week. The kids loved the pools, the mocktails and the strong WiFi signal throughout hotel/grounds. The adults enjoyed the temperate pool water, waiter service around the pools, and the choice of restaurants. There were negatives, yes, amd slight improvements need to be made here and there, but it didnt detract from the good time we had. The staff work tirelessly and try to provide a great service. I would say the hotel is a decent 4* (not 5).

We had such a good stay the rooms were lovely the staff we all kind and welcoming (especially Jess from guest relations and Mohammed Hassan and Malad in the pool bar) we were well and truly looked after from start to finish. We had zero complaints on food, the all inclusive restaurants were all really nice and we will definitely be coming back again this year.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, rooms and food amazing. The nicest staff who go above and beyond for you. The animation team are so friendly and like you to join in with things. And take time to speak with you .

The hotel was amazing and all the staff and entertainment team were lovely. It really feels like home! We will definitely be returning.
