TUI BLUE Crystal Bay

Location was perfect — only a 10–15 minute ride from the airport. The airport in Hurghada was so much better than Sharm; it was really quick and easy to get through. The grounds were immaculate, so well kept and really beautiful. The beach was lovely and the sea was warm. The hotel itself was very clean and tidy throughout. Our room was upgraded, which was a really nice surprise. We had lots of extra space, a big bedroom and a large bathroom with both a shower and bath. The shower wasn’t the most powerful, but that’s more of an observation than a complaint. We were on the third floor and there was no lift, but honestly we probably needed the exercise with all the eating and drinking! There were a few salespeople walking around the hotel selling boat trips and spa treatments, but the hotel has a red flag system where, if you put the flag up, they leave you alone — I really liked that idea. Although I did end up having a massage and it was incredible. The entertainment team were lovely. There was lots going on during the day and the team were so friendly, encouraging you to join in if you wanted to. Special shout out to Olivia, who was amazing — so friendly, great with our little boy, and always keeping us updated on what was happening. The mini disco was a bit disappointing and some of the evening shows were a little strange, but when the hotel put on proper events they were brilliant. We were there for a foam party and a white beach party, both of which were great fun. Unfortunately we missed the carnival because we arrived and left on a Tuesday, which is apparently when it happens. The hotel was great for families too. The sister hotel three doors down had a water park which my little boy absolutely loved. One thing I really liked was that the hotel had five à la carte restaurants in addition to the buffet, and you could eat at them as many times as you wanted with no restrictions. The food was okay overall, my favourites were the Egyptian and BBQ restaurants. The Indian was okay too, although not quite up to UK standards having said that I did enjoy the food most of the time. The only thing that let the hotel down for me and the reason its a 4 and not a 5 was the service in the restaurants and bars. It was very slow and, with a 5-year-old, it wasn’t always easy keeping him entertained while waiting a long time for food or drinks. I don’t necessarily think it was the servers’ fault because they all seemed to work incredibly hard — I think the hotel was probably understaffed. That said, we did have one very rude waiter in the top bar near reception, which wasn’t great. We didn’t give loads of tips because the service overall wasn’t always that great, but there were some staff members who were fantastic and we tipped when we felt it was deserved. Value for money was really good I can’t fault that. Overall great experience with a few minor grips but it didn’t ruin my trip at all.

We’ve just returned from a weeks holiday at TUI Blue Crystal Bay. This was our third visit and we were so pleased that nothing had changed and everything was perfect. All the staff work so hard to ensure a fantastic stay from the gardeners, house keeping, pool staff, bar staff and restaurant staff who work long hours. Food could not be faulted in all restaurants we ate at. The hotel, grounds, restaurants, bars and facilities are extremely clean at all times. Not forgetting the animation team who are extremely friendly encouraging guests to join in and always being so friendly and bubbly. Big shout out to Olivia for her outgoing personality and constant smile 😃 to all We hope to visit again very soon!

Just returned home from a fab holiday at crystal bay. All the staff are super friendly and helpful, they really can't do enough for you. Big thanks to all the waiters and bar staff, especially Ahmed in Elia restaurant and the buffet restaurant. Mohammed at the main bar and all the animation team, big thumbs up to Olivia. Food is really good, with a good selection of a la carte restaurants. We will definitely return :)

A good quality hotel with pleasant and attentive staff. Room, a 'family' room, was OK if a bit tired, could have done with some bedside lamps and possibly a clothes drying option, apart from the chairs, on the balcony. Grounds kept immaculately apart from a few paving slabs/tiles that were cracked and needed replacing, which was already happening in some places. Lots of free loungers around the pools, by the beech they were full by 09:30 or so. WiFi was reasonable for what we wanted, after all you are on holiday ....... Plenty of food options with our particular favorite being the Egyptian. Ranking in order we thought Egyptian, BBQ, Indian, Yazides, Mediteranian & finally Buffet but all had there own plus and minus points. Didnt see any evening entertainment as we were happy to eat, get a drink and chill. Daytime temps were mid 20s with blue skys all bar 1 afternoon. There was always a breeze which was pleasant but in the evening it was chilly enough for long trousers and a jumper/light jacket. All in All a plesant holiday, so much so that we have decided to go back in May 27!

We visited Crystal Bay resort for our first visit to Egypt and it didn't disappoint! Hotel check in was quick and easy and first impressions were brilliant- staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The resort itself was spotlessly clean and just beautiful. We tried most of the restaurants (some several times) and were impressed by both the service and variety and quality of foods on offer. Making a reservation was quick and easy and availability was good. Our room was cleaned as well as the mini bar being restocked daily. As we booked this resort for a relaxing holiday, we found we could find a different spot to sunbathe each day if we wanted to. From the few cabanas on the jetty to the beach or just by one of the pools or outdoor jacuzzi - all were pretty easy to find a vacant sunbed or two. The use of a red flag to put on our table kept any unwanted sales reps at bay whom daily paraded the pool /beach area trying to sell excursions or treatments etc. We found the best sales rep to be Khalid from Senses Spa- very friendly and felt more like an old friend . He soon became one of our favourites and helped us organise massages , which were also amazing. Special shout out to Olivia and Mufasa from the animations team- both kept us updated daily on any activities going on and both a credit to the hotel for being brilliant hosts. These guys seriously always go the extra mile to ensure everyone is having a great time but aren't pushy if guests don't want to take part . The presence of the managements daily walk around the resort checking if guests were happy with everything was a nice touch- its good they were interacting with guests asking for any feedback. If i had to critique anything , it would be the use of the amphitheatre - we caught , by chance, a dance act one night that wasn't overly advertised as only around 30 ppl were watching but they were brilliant. It felt a shame they hadn't had more advertising and a bigger audience. Most guests seemed to congregate in the upstairs outside bar where there was a different live singer each night. We stayed in a superior double room with a garden view but managed a viewing with Catherine from guest services to one of the swim up rooms and a family villa as the hotel offers a Posh Club option which we were intrigued about. All I can say is wow! We are already planning a return visit next year and bringing family out with us to enjoy this stunning resort. All in all, we had the best time in a fantastic resort and will definitely be coming back
