This is a very difficult review to write, mainly because I suffered with a very bad stomach almost every day I was there and it’s hard to be completely positive when you’re ill. I wanted to love this holiday and we were so excited to go. So, I’ll break it down: Resort: The resort is undeniably beautiful, the pools are lovely. It’s a bit of a trek to the beach, but not terribly so. The water is very shallow at the beach so you’d have to walk out along the jetty to get in any sea swimming. My daughter hated the beach and sadly we never made it that far. The main restaurant decor was the best I’ve seen and all the areas were truly stunning. It’s lovely and clean and everyone works hard to ensure it’s pretty and clean. They scrub the sun loungers down daily and I’ve never seen that before. Rooms: the rooms were okay, they would definitely benefit from a refurb. The soft furnishings were a bit manky to be honest and we didn’t get any towel art other than what was there the first day which was requested for my daughters birthday. I overlooked this as we didn’t spend much time in the room. Food: the main restaurant was okay, but really only just okay, your general all inclusive tasteless and underwhelming. But, easy to find something to eat! You definitely won’t starve. The snack bars were not great and being honest I’m certain this is how I’m so poorly. There’s a lot of birds at the resort and on a daily basis I saw birds pecking at food in the outdoor part of the main restaurant and at several snack bars. My husband did raise it with someone the morning there was birds literally inside where the pancakes were. Drinks: I personally thought all the drinks were amazing and we all enjoyed every drink we had. Seen loads of complaints about drinks but the beer, wine and cocktails were all great. Other guests/sun loungers: The sunbed situation is not great, the resort was packed when we were there and on Tuesday morning I was really ill and didn’t get out of the room until 1130. We had to sit on our towels on the grass for 2 hours whilst I stared at a pair of sun loungers with a scarf tied to them. Eventually a life guard brought 2, there was 3 of us and the lifeguards will sincerely try to help but they aren’t magicians at the end of the day. Eventually I did untie a scarf after 3 hours and give the bed to my daughter. I caught the wrath of a Russian woman but my patience was so thin by this point I just shrugged lest give her a slap. I smiled and waved after she stormed off, wishing her a lovely day. I came off lightly though, on check out day my daughter and I witnessed a British woman being violently shoved to the ground after she challenged a Russian man for taking her sunbed. Not a great situation at all and one I’m not sure how the hotel can resolve. Staff: the staff are what makes this resort. They genuinely want you to have the best holiday ever. They manage the ruder and pushier guests with aplomb. Menna from guest relations was truly amazing from since before we even arrived until the moment we left, as was Mohammed from Park side pool bar. They really do make the resort. The animation team are lovely and make lots of effort to make you feel involved but without harassing you. Entertainment: Plentiful options, not all great but certainly entertaining in ways it’s probably not meant to be. I really enjoyed the lobby singers every night, they were really good but wished they could have been a bit louder. They are designed to be in the background but felt it was a waste of some lovely singers. I wanted to love my holiday, but being ill and having to fight for a sun lounger put a huge dampener on things. It wasn’t the worst holiday I’ve ever had…I’ll leave that for Hurgarda. So, having tried Egypt for a second time I’m going to say, it’s just not for me.
Had a great all round experience, would thoroughly reccomend staying here when Visiting Sharm el Sheikh
This hotel is excellent great place excellent staff, have to mention Islam from the restaurant was absolutely brilliant every day we came had drinks on table by the time we had gotten our food always smiled will definitely be coming again x
Islam in the restaurant was absolutely amazing every time we came in he made sure we all had drinks and a big table for us all as there was 8 off us by far one off the best staff and service we have ever had he deserves a raise he was so lovely and welcoming
Great experience. Staff was awesome for most part - bartenders are quite impolite and grumpy all of the time.
