Pickalbatros Laguna Vista Hotel - Sharm El Sheikh

Weather : 29-34 degrees daytime. Mid 20s nighttime . Hotel was superb . Spotlessly clean . Reception staff and managers were extremely helpful and made sure we were happy with our room. Great location for a stroll around local bars & shops .' Lots of pools , plenty of sunbeds available around the quieter pools , no hassle at all. The pool nearest the beach was the busiest with loud music if you like it lively in the day ! Private beach if thats your thing ,but we preferred the pool. Waiters & pool staff couldnt do enough . Mohammed and Khaled looked after us from sunrise to sunset Food was brilliant . Best ever had in all inclusive . Plenty of choice . We upgraded to a junior suite room , huge , with a massive balcony and comfy outdoor table n chairs . No noise at night. so slept well . Paid for a late checkout (8pm)as our flight home was late at night , again , the reception team were superb at arranging this Would highly reccommend it. Already booked again for November .

Staff were all lovely, friendly, check in and checkout was easy. The rooms were spacious and clean. Large beds and shower. Loved the resort.

This is our third time here as a big group and I can safely say we have never been happier at a hotel! From our arrival, Magdi, the manager ensured we were well looked after and happy with all of the amenities and facilities, including our room and location of it in the hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful and very well kept. It's in a great location with lots to do. The animation staff ensure a lively atmosphere and some great entertainment. Ibrahim (Manchester), Tito, Momo, Vita and Krystina in particular were so much fun! They keep the vibes up and the kids and adults entertained. Big thank you. The staff in particular are incredible, they cannot do enough for you. Special mention to Mohammed at the Beach Bar, he always ensures we are looked after well. Mohammed is kind and considerate and a wonderful manager to his staff. He ensures all guests are happy, no request is too much! Sameh, Mustafa, Ibrahim, Mahmoud (Habibi) Mohammed, Syed, Zakayra and the boys at Olympus bar are just a few staff members that made sure our drinks and tummies were always full! They work relentlessly and are happy to do so .... simply the best! The lifeguards, both Ahmed's, Rada, Mustafa and the rest of the boys kept everyone safe and happy around the pools and made a fuss with our friends sons birthday. We cannot thank and praise them enough. Huge thank you to the staff in reception also, always amazing!! We have had the most incredible two weeks and will 100% be returning. Highly recommend ❤️

This resort really impressed me everything from check in to check out was simply amazing. This place is huge and is perfect for families. The staff are amazing. Our housekeeper Mahmoud always had a smile on his face and would always do an amazing job. The reception manager mohammed was truly amazing and always checked up on us to see if we needed anything and also fulfilled our requests. Seif was amazing at check in. Mohamed sharaf at the lounge was also amazing and after the first day knew our drinks order as we would have the same drinks everyday. My son really like him and he would always tend to him. The restaurants and food are of very high quality too. All in all this place is 10/10. Keep up the amazing standards and thank you. Please thank all the staff mentioned.

⭐ 1/10 — MISLEADING LISTING | HEALTH & SAFETY RISK | DO NOT BOOK FOR FAMILIES I booked this hotel for a 4-night all-inclusive family stay (myself, my wife, and my 6-year-old daughter) and paid approximately $800. I checked out after a single night. That should tell you everything. 🔴 MISLEADING PHOTOS The hotel looks nothing like the photos on Booking.com. The room is visibly outdated, worn, and in urgent need of renovation. Had the listing been accurate, I would never have booked. 🔴 HEALTH & SAFETY INCIDENT — CHILDREN’S POOL This is the most serious issue. When I took my daughter to the children’s aqua park, I discovered human stool in the pool. I immediately removed her. When I raised this with the Front Desk Manager (Mr. Mohamed), he did not deny it happened. This is an unacceptable health hazard in a facility designated for children. 🔴 UNCLEAN POOLS The main pool areas were also not maintained to an acceptable hygiene standard. 🔴 OVERCROWDED & EXTREMELY NOISY The hotel was severely overcrowded. Noise levels in the corridors outside the rooms made rest impossible — even late at night. 🔴 POOR FOOD QUALITY We visited three different restaurants for dinner. All three delivered poor quality food with low-grade ingredients and weak presentation — far below what an all-inclusive rate at this price point should offer. I raised all of these issues formally with the front desk. The manager verbally acknowledged the pool incident and the room condition. I then filed a formal complaint with Booking.com and checked out the following morning. Booking.com refunded the unused nights but refused to compensate for the first night — despite their own representative promising escalation to management if the hotel declined. The hotel declined. The escalation never came. Avoid this hotel if you are travelling with children. The gap between what is advertised and what is delivered is significant, and the health conditions I witnessed are not acceptable by any standard.
