While the rooms were clean and the resort itself was spacious and convenient, the food was terrible. There are five restaurants, yet they all serve nearly identical dishes seasoned with the same spices. Everything was overly heavy, and there was almost no variety. The only alternative was fast food, which wasn’t good either. We ended up spending the last few days eating nothing but apples just to avoid getting stomachaches. The service is the next thing I want to complain about, particularly the rude and sarcastic behavior of some of the staff. The way you’re treated depends on your nationality. I also overheard staff members speaking negatively about guests in Arabic (which I understand) while chatting with visitors from their own country. That said, there were some positives. The sea was clear, calm, and very comfortable for swimming. I’d also recommend booking one of the bungalows rather than a standard room, as the standard rooms are quite far from the beach. The resort has several large pools, so there’s plenty of variety if you don’t want to spend the whole day by the sea. There are also several shops right outside the hotel, making it very convenient to buy souvenirs or anything else you might need. The evening entertainment programs were enjoyable as well and made the nights more fun. If those things don’t bother you, then you may still enjoy your stay, as the resort grounds are well maintained, the rooms are clean, and the sea is beautiful.

I recently stayed at Pickalbatros Laguna Vista for two weeks and returned yesterday. We booked and travelled with easyJet, which we hadn’t used before, but it was much cheaper than TUI while offering a very similar service. We arrived at around 10pm and were told food was available in the lobby bar. However, the only options were pastries and cakes, which was a little disappointing after a long journey. The positives: * No sunbed rush – we never had to wake up early to reserve a spot. We’d have breakfast and still easily find sunbeds by the main pool. * Great location – there are plenty of shops and restaurants just outside the hotel. The metro opposite Arab Bucks is perfect for cheap snacks. * Friendly staff – everyone was helpful, especially Mo from the entertainment team and Amed the lifeguard. * Cleanliness – the entire resort is spotless and very well maintained. * Room upgrade – we booked a double room with a pool view but were upgraded for free to a swim-up room, which was huge and a lovely surprise. * Pools – all of them were excellent, clean, and well looked after. The negatives: * Food – while there’s plenty of choice and everything is well cooked, it becomes very repetitive. You’ll never go hungry, but after two weeks we were fed up with seeing the same options at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We also tried both à la carte restaurants—again, the food was nice, but it felt very similar to what was already available in the buffet. * Entertainment – it was okay, but the biggest issue is that it runs on a one-week rotation. By the second week, everything—including quiz questions—was exactly the same. * Guests – while this isn’t the fault of the hotel, at times the behaviour of some guests impacted the experience. Queues for food could feel quite chaotic, with pushing and little regard for others waiting. There were also occasions where children were left to run around dining areas or sit on tables, which made meals feel less relaxed than expected. Would I return? Probably, but I would only stay for one week next time due to the repetition in both food and entertainment.

The hotel is located by a beautiful beach and has a wonderful view, all the workers are so friendly and the animation staff are wonderful, they’re sure to get everyone involved in every activity and make you feel welcomed into the hotel, the rooms are spacious and the air conditioning is lovely, it’s very affordable and there’s so much to do on your holiday, everywhere is spotless and clean.

We had an amazing stay at Pickalbatros Laguna Vista. Everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and very well maintained. The rooms were comfortable, the food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the pools and beach were fantastic. What made our holiday truly special was the staff. Every member of the team was friendly, professional, and always smiling. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensure we had a wonderful vacation. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for your outstanding hospitality. We created unforgettable family memories here and will definitely return in the future. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sharm El Sheikh. It truly deserves 5 stars!
