I’ve just returned from my second visit to the Rixos Seagate, and I wanted to leave a detailed review because there is honestly so much to mention!
Before we even arrived, I emailed the hotel team to let them know it was our wedding anniversary. On arrival, Iryna had kindly arranged a room upgrade, and we walked into a beautifully decorated room complete with a cake — such a lovely and thoughtful welcome.
We stayed in Block 21 on the ground floor, directly opposite the entertainment pool, which was the perfect location right in the heart of everything. The room itself was spacious, with a huge king-size bed, two armchairs, an iron, hairdryer, quality toiletries, and a fully stocked minibar including wine, beer, soft drinks, chocolates, and snacks.
The food throughout the resort was exceptional. We mainly ate at the Turquoise buffet, where the variety and quality of food were outstanding, with something to suit everyone. There was even a fresh meat grill outside each evening. What made the experience even more special, though, was the incredible staff. They made us feel like VIPs from start to finish, always ensuring we were looked after and never wanting for anything. The management team there truly are exceptional.
For breakfast, we visited the People’s Restaurant, which was equally amazing. The Eggs Benedict with spinach and hollandaise sauce were delicious, and the selection of pastries, fresh fruit, and breakfast options was fantastic. Definitely worth visiting, especially as it’s included within the all-inclusive package.
We also dined at the Mangal, Asian, and Brazilian restaurants, and I would highly recommend every one of them.
Lunch at the food court was another highlight, with an excellent variety including pasta, chicken, pizza, burgers, hot dogs, jacket potatoes, salads, sandwiches, and more.
My only slight negative was the AI restaurant booking system, which felt much more difficult to use this time around. Every day at 4pm there seemed to be little or no availability. However, Daria in Guest Relations was incredibly helpful and managed to secure bookings for the restaurants we wanted, which we really appreciated.
In addition to the restaurants, there are endless snacks available throughout the day — waffles, ice creams, lollies, and sweet treats everywhere you turn!
The Entertainment Pool was one of our favourite areas. The staff there are absolutely wonderful, and a huge shoutout to Mostafa, who looked after us brilliantly for the second visit in a row. We were even surprised with towel art creations on our sunbeds! The waiter team were also fantastic — Mohammed Eweas and Mina kept the drinks flowing for all 10 days with such friendly service.

The entertainment team work tirelessly to keep the atmosphere lively throughout the day with activities including darts, football, boccia, and water polo. Tarek, Jet Lee, Yesi, and Natalia are all a real credit to the hotel.
The beach area is beautiful, and the jetty is perfect for snorkelling, with some stunning fish to see at the end. The sea can be a little choppy at times, but it’s definitely worth going in.
The Spa - highly recommended and we had 4 massages and they were worth every penny!
Evening entertainment was another standout part of the holiday. The Premium Gala Show was absolutely incredible — the dancers are unbelievably talented and clearly work so hard. The evening security team also deserve recognition for making guests feel safe and comfortable at all times.
To anyone who may have read negative reviews — honestly, ignore them and make up your own mind. This is genuinely one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in, and I’ve travelled extensively around the world. What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff, who go above and beyond to make every guest feel special.
