Aelius Hotel & Spa (ex. Lavris)

Firstly I don't usually bother with reviews however I feel this hotel deserves one ,the hotel is very clean and they work all day to keep it that way rooms ,spotless although a bit small but that was just an observation not an inconvenience,the pool area is also well looked after and sunbeds are very comfortable with thick padding ,the pool was very cold but due to temperature of 24 ° it a welcome jump in jump out to cool off ,the pool bar was good always served you quickly ,I was all inclusive so they have a selection of branded drinks , Bacardi, Smirnoff, Gordon's,ect.. on day I was drinking Bacardi cokes and very nice ,second morning I asked for a Bacardi coke and the woman Maria said this was not part of the AI I said well it was yesterday and at night with different bar staff so rather than have a big argument I said just give me a captain Morgan's ,which she said no problem, on my next visit to the pool bar I was about 3 people back from being served and Maria shouted up sorry sir my mistake Bacardi is on AI and really owned the mistake apologising over and over from then on she was my favourite bar lady and always pleased to see me ,now onto the food it was probably the best all inclusive food I've had on holiday and I've had a lot over the years,the area is quiet some shops and a massive supermarket 10 mins away,and the beachfront that's nice if you walk along about it gets sandy and a few coves,so all in all would highly recommend this hotel for all ages .

Once we upgraded our room from a basement room to a room by the pool with a double bed, we have had a fabulous stay. The staff are all so friendly and helpful from reception (especially Gianna) to everyone in catering, who always greeted us with great enthusiasm, the choice of food is out of this world and on the main meals dietary requirements are clearly signed, ( not on desserts though) which helped as i'm gf. I had an amazing body scrub and massage from Emma who has magic hands and worked on two trapped nerves in my legs gently. She checked in re pressure and knots in my back as well. Id absolutely recommend this hotel, its staff and its services

We stayed at Aelius Hotel and Spa for my first holiday abroad on my own with my kids, so I was a bit nervous going in. Overall, we had a really positive experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were genuinely lovely and welcoming, which immediately put me at ease. That first impression I feel really matters, especially travelling solo with kids. We stayed in a family room, which is a little outdated for a hotel advertised as 4-star, but it was absolutely spotless. The cleanliness was excellent, and our cleaner was amazing ,she kept everything perfect every day and was one of the nicest people we met. I really wish I had gotten her name as she deserves recognition. The all-inclusive restaurant Erontas was great definitely one of the better hotel buffets I’ve experienced. There was a good mix of food, with some variety each night and something for everyone. The only downside is that the food does go cold quite quickly, but it wasn’t a major issue for us. I especially want to mention Nena she genuinely made our stay. Travelling on my own, I felt a little awkward, but she made me feel completely at ease. Hearing “Kalimera” with a big smile every day made such a difference. She is the epitome of customer service, and the hotel is incredibly lucky to have her she’s honestly a real credit to the entire experience. The entertainment was a bit random at times, but still enjoyable. The bar staff were all very friendly as well. On one occasion a drink was forgotten, but they couldn’t have been more apologetic, which says a lot about their attitude. Overall, a really enjoyable stay, made especially by the kindness of the staff. A few small improvements could easily elevate it to a true 4-star experience.

The best thing about this hotel was the staff. The room was nice but had an extra bed in which we did not need. The food was usually cold or lukewarm warm at best. Breakfast was the best meal of the day. Dinner in the private restaurant was dreadful - we were looking forward to a freshly made hot meal and got a pre prepared cold chicken dish, which was sent back and heated slightly. We paid €50 to stay an extra few hours - this extortionate. You advertise getting dressed for dinner - no shorts, singlets or shoe-less people. These rules were completely ignored with some even wearing baseball caps in the restaurant (some even backwards!). I hurt my foot on the uneven pavement. These should be highlighted, especially in the dark. The rooms need hooks to hand towels from. Towels do not need to washed daily and most hotels ask guests to re-use for a few days. No hooks meant they never dried. Whilst we did enjoy our holiday, it’s doubtful we would go back to this hotel. I trust my comments are helpful, as they are meanttto be.

I thought this place was amazing impeccably clean. Food was really lovely. The lamb chops were really nice. All of the waiting on stuff with really nice couldn’t do enough for you and also at the bar by the pool. The stuff used to come round the pool to ask you if you wanted more drinks, which was a lovely touch. Pool was nice once you got in. We paid to go in the spa and have a treat however I did not find this experience . I found that the girl I had was very hard with her massage and I was in a little bit of pain for a few days afterwards, butI didn’t want to come home.I think that was just me being delicate. We will definitely be coming back here one day.
