Aelius Hotel & Spa (ex. Lavris)

This was a bit of a mixed bag! The good: the dining staff and housekeeping staff were brilliant, as were some of the pool bar staff. The room was really nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. Food was pretty good! The not so good: One night the entertainment was exceptionally noisy - bass so loud water vibrated in glasses Air con in the room was really poor - almost non existent A transparent net curtain was the only privacy when in the shower - I was sharing with my daughter so we worked it out but it wasn't ideal Our key card stopped working well ahead of check out Some reception staff were a bit disinterested One small bottle of water on arrival was it - we needed to buy bottled water after this despite being all inclusive

Solo traveller- I felt very safe at the hotel. Nena at the restaurant is AMAZING. So welcoming. She remembered my name every day and she was a very positive presence. The room was nice. The jacuzzi was a lovely touch. I actually preferred main pool over the sensus. Please try the forest cocktail- gorgeous! Thank you so much. I will be back soon.

The hotel was a lot smaller than it looked in the pictures Entertainment not bad could do with more interaction with the people Food good but doesn’t cater to children where we had one that is quite fussy and had to go out for their dinner every evening. The best part is the spa I had Manos and my daughter had Emma both brilliant the setting was calm and relaxing the massage was wonderful.

Very nice location, roughly 25 minutes from the airport, and the facilities were also very good. The only thing I wish was different was the main pool depth — at only 4.5ft it was a little disappointing. We also had quite a few issues with the parasols whilst we were there. It seemed like everyone was struggling to get them to work properly, and the staff didn’t really seem sure how to handle the issue either. The food was very good overall with a nice selection throughout the stay. It never felt repetitive, and everything was very clean and hygienic. One area that could be improved was the dining experience. Whilst eating, we sometimes felt a bit pressured by staff who seemed very quick to remove plates as soon as we finished, often watching closely to see when we were done. At times this felt a little off-putting. That said, we were very impressed with the rooms — spacious, air-conditioned, with balconies and plenty of storage space. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. The people were very pleasant and friendly, and I would definitely return. Just a few small improvements would make the experience truly top quality.
