Amirandes - A Grecotel Resort to Live

When you enter the hotel the lake view is amazing and it’s connecting with the ocean something that reminds me of a movie scene .Restaurants are well maintained but service is not the best .There is one big pool with quick access to the beach and the water was cold but when the sun is shining is not a problem at all.Hats off to the sports instructor Costas that he collected all the possible people of the sports park and create a wonderful tournament! All in all nice experience with a lot of fun and sports !

We are just coming to the end of our short stay here at Amirandes Grecotel in Crete, and we must say we do not want to leave. From arriving at the hotel we were greeted like old friends. Polina was our go too and she did not disappoint. Friendly , helpful beyond belief , quick to reply with any questions we had or requests made. Thank you, you are a real credit to the hotel . Check in was very smooth and on our arrival at our infinity pool villa we could not have been happier. A real wow factor. Built over 2 floors the duplex villa has a wonderful infinity pool over looking the Aegean Sea with a lovely seating area to enjoy the views and day beds to relax on. We stayed on the All Inclusive package. This entitled us to all meals in the main restaurant, as well as all soft and alcoholic drinks in the bars, restaurants and mini bar (stocked daily). We were also entitled to eat in any of the 4 al a carte restaurants where we received a credit of up to €20 each towards dinner. On our first night we ate at the Blue Monkey, a great pan Asian restaurant serving authentic Chinese cuisine. We also dined at the Minotaur Deck, a floating island overlooking the sea . This accrued an extra €100 for the privilege but all food and drink were included in the price and an amazing dinner it was. A truly special experience , catered by a group of individuals who really made the meal memorable. Highly recommended. At the main restaurant we enjoyed breakfast In the mornings, sitting outside and enjoying the sunshine, sipping on lovely cappuccino and enjoying the sumptuous breakfast on offer. Which featured a vast array of offerings, from hot breakfast items such as, bacon, sausage omelettes and various egg options, to cold meats, cheeses, pastries and fresh fruit to name just a few. It is a great way to start your day. The hotel itself is vast , stretching out along the beach, with spectacular views over the sea. I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel . It really is a gem and one we hope to return to in the future.

My partner and I stayed at Grecotel Amirandes as a couple and had a wonderful experience. The architecture of the hotel is absolutely beautiful and really made us feel like we were staying in a Greek palace. The whole atmosphere is elegant, calm, and very relaxing. The pool was a little chilled, but it was also very pretty, peaceful, and never felt too crowded. Our garden-view room had everything we needed and was comfortable throughout our stay. Service across the hotel was excellent. We especially enjoyed the wide range of sports activities, including the outdoor gym, yoga, beach volleyball, soccer, and the amazing padel court. A special mention goes to Costas, the sports animator, who motivated us every day to join different activities. He is a great guy who clearly cares not only about doing his job well, but also about the guests personally. He really added something special to our holiday. As vegetarians, we would have appreciated a little more variety when it came to meat- and fish-free main dishes in the restaurant. That said, the overall quality of the food and drinks was very high. The hotel is certainly not at the lower end of the price range, but for us, the experience was worth it. We are honestly already considering coming back for a second stay.

We chose this place with the help of AI — “find me an upscale beachfront resort with heated pools and a padel court.” After researching at least ten options, what ultimately set Amirandes apart was the villa layout, featuring a private pool and a small grassy terrace with direct beach access. We also had one standard room, which did have some noise issues from the corridor, though nothing too serious. The weather was quite terrible—obviously not the hotel’s fault—but the padel court, spa, and heated pool still made it easy to enjoy our stay. The buffet selection wasn’t particularly extensive, but the quality was consistently high. The hotel was absolutely pristine and looked beautiful. The price level ensured that other guests also looked and behaved very well :) Special thanks to Marina from guest relations!

We spend almost 10 days in paradise .it was very peaceful and everybody very friendly.The beach is very beautiful but the water is a bit cold ,big nice spaces with beautiful flowers and huge palms .I need to say that sports area it’s a dream of fun and nice things to do …special shoutout to the most energetic trainers that we ever meet Costas and Niki ,they keep us fit through great activities.Definitely we will remember this for long time and returning back is a fact !!!
