Atlantica Kalliston Resort & Spa

Location - excellent. Right on its own beautiful beach and only a short bus ride into Chania. Atmosphere - good, friendly staff and plenty going on. Adults only so quite peaceful Rooms - Had a v nice room on the first floor with a large balcony and outside jacuzzi with a beach/sea view. Nice bathroom, big comfy double bed. balcony nice and private. Value - paid for room with breakfast included. Was reasonable value. inhouse restaurants were a bit pricey. Cleanliness - excellent, couldnt fault it. rooms, public areas, pools etc all looked shiny and new and were spotless. Room cleaners did a fast and great job too. Noise level - room backed on to the main road but couldn't hear it. Nice and quiet - apart from music from pool bar (but not too loud) Service - staff friendly and service was OK. some orders room a long time to arrive and quite a few dishes were luke warm when arrived (part from the poolside snack bar). At breakfast, some of the warming plates dont seem too good as some items were luke warm and for some reason pots of hot water for tea were never hot. Only niggles though, overall an excellent experience.

A lovely hotel but!!! Due to allowing guests late checkouts we were on a 6:00 am flight so desired a room at 3:00pm check in time! we finally had our room after 5:00pm exhausted! If only told we had beach wear so could have used the beach facilities instead of being told soon! soon! Wasted our very first afternoon! Shout out to Salima pool bar she needs to be front of house! We missed her so much on her 2 days off! The rest of the pool bar staff just hugged the bar and struggled especially cocktails! Lovely restaurants we were fully inclusive! Loved the fact main restaurant not open as small Glaros Greek restaurant hosted breakfast for 6 of our 7 days the staff were amazing we went early by 8:00am never experienced any problems! Always booked the required restaurants but sadly on our last evening experienced the worst! In front of a near full restaurant was told we had no reservation when we said we did we were required to return to our room to prove it!! Which we were able to do! then acommadated! Begrudgingly! No apologies nothing! Hotel management asked what he could do I told him we were fully inclusive so we weren’t after any compensation just such a humiliating dinner!! Our first breakfast in the new main restaurant wasn’t great clearly a quick clean up from builders dust! It was the first time I experienced a very cold hot breakfast! I actually waited for the cook to plate up a new plate of fried eggs expecting them to be hot they were stone cold as was the bacon and tomatoes! Left very hungry for the airport and flight home! I have never written a a negative report but was so upset with last days issues not handled at all well! Sadly won’t return!

This hotel has lots of promise once the renovations are complete. We arrived a few days after it reopened 5 May for 10 days. During our stay the main buffet resterant was closed and breakfast was being served in a small space which got busier as the week progressed. There is not enough staff anywhere meaning the meals are slow, 30 minute wait by end of week for breakfast (not having coffee often until meal finished at breakfast), bar staff at full capacity from opening to close, rooms often not cleaned until evening. It is a shame because the staff running the restaurants and bars are kind, friendly and trying their best to make your experience good, however they are often appearing overwhelmed and some did not appear to know what they should be doing. We were all inclusive so got frustrated that the main restaurant was closed (we should have been informed before we got there) limiting food choices and felt the al a carte were not up to the 5 star. As a non fish eater it greatly reduced what we could eat, after a few days when the Italian was fully booked limiting choice further, that we ended up eating out. We would advise to check whether the main restaurant is open before you leave. The location is stunning, fortunatly plenty of places to eat withing walking distance and Chania is a 50 min walk or easy hop on a bus. Shout out to Selima, Sam, (lady in the coffee place dont know name) and Tania who went out of their way to make our days happy and cheerful!

A nice hotel with great potential. However it is not 5 star. You will not have your room cleaned daily. If it is cleaned it may be in the morning or maybe after 6 in the evening when you complain at front desk. There are queues for everything (15-25mins for breakfast) and really insufficient staff for the number of guests. Limited or no service at the beach. All of the staff are really pleasant. But some are just not trained well enough. If staff do not know what is expected of them - they cannot give the proper service. Summary : nice hotel, staff friendly and helpful but too many queues, too much effort to be able to relax fully, rooms not cleaned daily. Extra , trained staff badly needed. I had no desire to spend extra money there .

A beautiful stylish 5* hotel in a stunning location. The atmosphere is relaxed, calm and welcoming with warm hospitality from all of the staff. We chose the hotel to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary and had the opportunity of a beach gazebo private dining experience which made our holiday complete. The Customer Relations team (Natalia, Emma, Maria and June) made sure our stay was special and the hotel management team (Nicholas and Addy) are genuinely lovely people who care about their guests experiences. Our room (Deluxe Sea View) was wonderful, the food was good quality and presented well with prompt service and no issues with à la carte restaurant bookings or queues, the amenities were great with activities/entertainment options to suit all needs. We have truly enjoyed our holiday and will be returning again in May 2027!
