Review for Hotel Blue Sea Beach Crete: Could be improved but still a good holiday To note: This hotel has newly opened following full refurbishment (photos are old and misleading) and everything is new or still being finished. It just wasn’t ready for our stay! Things to improve first… arrived approx 11pm - no welcome drinks on arrival, it took 45 minutes to check in 5 couples. Long lengthy details about the resort and form to fill in. Don’t forget it’s 15 euros a night tax to pay. If you are a 5 star you provide guests with the best welcome you can as a minimum requirement. …Provide a drink (after their long journey) and ask guests to sit and complete a form. Provide a leaflet/map on the hotel don’t explain it at length. Awful first impression. Then the guy taking our bags couldn’t find our rooms and marched us, including my 80 old parents around the resort. Double rooms and junior Suites have wardrobes so small I would liken to a travel lodge. Kettle needs an instruction manual to work it. Shark style hairdryer awful. Coffee machines at breakfast constantly a queue, machines broken, ran out of cups!!! Do a tea and coffee service please. Breakfast…where are the omelettes and poached eggs? Mushrooms would be nice. You have to pay for wine in the al a carte on AI? Mmm…really?! H&S issues with areas that are unfinished…no rails to steps up to the spa. Indoor pool mould and dirt…needs a good clean and wouldn’t recommend using as a health hazard! The good…great views, gardens, swimming pool, bar and daytime snack bar. Comfy bed and great shower. Wine and wraps in the fridge on late arrival. Pool loungers super comfy. Free mini massage from Vera a treat. Food is nice, varied, but not the best all inclusive we have had. Missing a few things. Gyros at the pool fab! Drinks really good. Bar staff are fun and the entertainment also good. Beach lovely, bit of sea weed on windier days. Very close to bars, restaurants and shops in Stalis/Stalida and Cactus Bay. On settling in we had a good experience…just could be better… As this a newly refurbished hotel we assume some teething issues, but to not be finished and ready? Finally, thank you to the hard working and friendly staff that looked after us despite the lack of readiness.

Everything is perfect We liked rooms they are very clean Everything is green and beautiful Bar mans are good in main bar Beach boy is also good mr hector Animation is great of course! And we will tell our friends about this hotel for sure ...

We have just come home from a 2 week stay here. We booked all inclusive and it was so worth it. The location was perfect, right on the beach. The pool was great and the resort was so clean. The a la carte was exceptional and the staff couldn’t do enough to help you. Our pool barman kostas was so friendly and helpful and the main bar staff George, dimitrus, dritan and vigelis made our stay amazing. They were so friendly and welcoming and they knew our orders. We really felt like part of the place. A special mention has to go to Vako for the entertainment. What a great guy! The evening entertainment was top notch and if you get the chance to go to the barbecue, do not miss out. We would definitely return again.

Fantastic week hotel very clean, staff from the cleaners, bar staff and restaurant very nice especially Maria K, Dritan, and Waco on the entertainment thanks for a lovely stay would highly recommend this hotel.

Just got bk frm staying at the blue sea beach hotel with our friends .Fantastic holiday frm start to finish. The staff were Amazing couldn't do enough for you .They were all so friendly and made our stay so enjoyable . Wacko the entertainment Guy(Crete David ) was our knick name for him 😂worked so hard keeping everyone entertained day and night with different activities.He was so funny along with the bar staff who joined in with us . Anyone visiting this hotel will not be disappointed .Food good location excellent,Cocktails /drinks really good. Hopefully will be returning in a couple of yrs .
